We need to keep things positive!! We are all approaching our wedding dates, so lets take what really p i sses us off and turn it around and laugh about it!!

My BM, who cannot afford to bring her fiance from TX, asked to bring 2 dates, her mom and bro...so her whole fam....

Sure thing...I just need to take a trip to the money farm!

So how about people not understanding how to fill out the RSVP... they say yes, and then for number of guests, about five of them have put 0... they think that it means the guests they are bringing, not the total number of people attending... such a pain in the a$$!

I see this lady today who always came into the pharmacy that I worked in... I told her I was moving to SC in a month... she says 'oh, will you be coming back up for the wedding?'
Umm... no, i'lI be watching my ceremony and reception through satelite feed...

Since FH & I are paying for this wedding, I ve taken it upon myself to assign everybody in my family to get me something towards the wedding like, limo, hair & make up, you know little things like that...So I assigned my uncle the limo and he says ' what if I become your designated driver and just drive you in my 'white dove' throughout the nite, its white'...(white dove is what he calls his 1980something honda civic hatchback....I said 'Huh'....he was just kidding...but it was funny... My mom & I were talking about walking down the aisle and she says 'what if I walk you along with grandma and your brother' Im like 'anyone else you wanna add'....

I lifeguard with some kids at a pool and this one guy who i barely know (hes 18) overheard me talking about my bridal shower and he goes 'How come I'm not invited to any of your parties?'

Um, lets see, number one bridal showers are just for girls, number two, i barely know you and wouldn't invite you even if you were a girl!!!!!!

this is a funny thread ! i know i have some really winners but i'm still waking up...

here is one that sticks out. my aunt in Italy said she can only come if the wedding is in August. thats when she gets vacation. So now lets see you work every single day for 11 months straight without taking a day off..... i don't think so ! oh well sorry your going to miss one hell of a wedding

At my bridal shower this past weekend, the guests were doing the game where they make toilet paper wedding dresses on someone at their table...

Anyway, during this time I was walking around (because I was the judge) and I walked up to FHs obnoxious aunt and cousin. The conversation goes like this:

Aunt: All I know is that you better go through those presents FAST.

Me: okay?

Aunt: I think these (games) are rediculous. I told *daughter's name* that if she does this at her shower not to even invite me because I won't come.

Me: Turns and walks away.

At the end when everyone was leaving and saying goodbye, FFIL's new wife comes up to me and says :

'My daughter (from florida) might have to bring the little guy (her horrible, obnoxious, badly behaved son- who is 10- NOT LITTLE) to the wedding. I only invited the FG and RB to the reception, and my younger FIRST COUSINS who I see ALL THE TIME and are over 12- and well behaved.

I ignored her, so she turns to my mother and has THE AUDACITY to ask her! My mom says- I'm not babysitting anyone's kids, and Jen has over 200 people, she can't have anyone extra. So she tells her- No it won't be anyone extra, her husband isn't coming.

The other daughter managed to get a babysitter, and the one from florida is staying with her- so WHY can't she leave her kid with that babysitter?

If it was ANY other kid- it wouldn't be a big deal. But at FFIL's wedding a few weeks ago, he was actually going up to people and burping in their faces. And his mother just laughs

Friends of ours are older (in their 40's) they asked if they can bring their daughter since they dont have a babysitter. She is 18 and graduates High School this year. Also, who is paying and how much. That seems to be it!

Oh I forgot. This isnt funny just hurts.....My shower was sat. My FMIL and three girls in my bridal party didnt get me anything. not even a card. The three brides maids did do the desserts but a card would of been nice. I actually didnt find out about them doing the desserts to the next day! FMIL couldnt make it b/c she lives upstate but she didnt send anything!

we didn't invite guests w/ dates unless they were SO's or married. The father of one guest (at a bbq) said to his son's NEW girlfriend 'this is nancy, the girl that didn't invite you to her wedding'

I was told by FMIL that I had to have bridesmaid dresses with sleeves and a high neck. Oh and they cant be pink.

Its ok, dont worry that I'm getting married in August and the BM's may pass out from the eat in sleeves and a high neck.

we are getting married upstate, so wife of GM asks me if we are still doing a rehearsal???
uh, yes we have to rehearse!!!
she goes, oh so i have to take friday off from work, that might be hard, and i told her well we had to take thursday and friday off for your friday night wedding.

i am not complaining about a friday night wedding, just have some respect and think about what we did for yours!

yea tell me about it!! shes not paying for a darn thing and had the NERVE to scream at me when i told her i wasnt inviting children....'MY FAMILY WILL NOT COME' then tough SH*IT....you arent paying, my mom is...all alone....have some respect!! GRRR i hate her sometimes...she has no idea of what is what

I ordered wine labels for our favors. The wedding is 11.14.2008. The labels came in wrong the first time. I called them, told them and they said they would re-print them and send them out the next day. 3 weeks later and 3 phone calls later, I still have no labels. I finally get someone on the phone and this is what the customer service rep says:

'well I see the date on the label is 11.14.2008, so I dont understand why you need them right away and what the big deal is that they didnt go out yet'.

I was soo annoyed I told him to cancel the order and refund me the money!

One of my aunts told us we shouldn't waste our money on a Saturday wedding, instead we should get married on a Wednesday and we could use her backyard for the reception, the pool would be open then. Yeah I'm going to have a pool party as my wedding reception.

BTW this is the aunt who when she got married had 350 people at her wedding and 9 BM & 9 GM. I'm having 125 and a total of 4 people in the bridal party.
