Just throwing this out there but how about allowing brides getting married before the event an edge. Not to start a problem but some people will have the chance to go again (and possibly again) before their wedding date.

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you're saying? Splain! Like,w hy would people whoa re already married need/gt an 'edge'?

My post was not clear at all, sorry!
If the tickets are so limited perhaps, in an effort to make as many people happy as possible, allow the brides to be who will not have the chance to attend next year (unless they are lucky enough to be part of the ONE newlywed table) first crack at the tickets. Again, not to have people jump all over me but 2011 girls should be able to get access before a 2012 person who will have a chance again next year. Just a suggestion

I think doing that would compound the problem for future brides... like every year there'd be more future brides who lost out on seats because girls who are married but never got to go were taking up more seats... I don't think this is a solution.

how about you get a head count

and make sure the venue can hold that many people!

and i think 2011 brides should have priority

I voted for 10 pm

I'm sorry but I disagree. You are getting married next year and this is the only chance for you to go to the event. There are other people who will be able to go multiple times.

Lets keep in mind the reason TWOTY came into existence. It isn't just a party. It was a way for brides to be to see a soup to nuts wedding and get ideas for their wedding, win some prizes they could use towards their wedding and meet some of the other brides.

I understand what you're saying. There's no way to make it totally fair for everyone. I stand by what I was saying about girls who have been on longer and post often getting priority over newbies witha couple hundred post. (eg, a 2012 er with 2000 posts over a 2011er with 150 posts) But I see what you're saying. I wish everyone could just go

Discrimination? Really? All I am saying is maybe wedding date should be taken into condieration. For example, if you are getting married in 2013 you still have two more chances to go. Someone in 2010 or 2011 does not.

Sorry I just don't believe it's fair to impose limits, but I'm more concerned with post minimums, because lots of people are on this board and don't post on everything (like I do!) so don't have the post count. Post counts do not make you more or less a member of the LIW community.

Just my 2 cents, leave it if you don't agree

Awww, now I feel guilty for wanting to go because everything is booked already for mine... Thanks Ron!

Exactly! So it would be logical for the *soon* to be brides to get tickets first, right? Love ya!

Post counts ABSOLUTELY make you more of a member of the LIW community as it is a WEBSITE and the only way you interact with the community. Sorry, I respectfully disagree.

My opinion has nothing to do with post counts. I only post when I have something to say. I probably won't ever get a shirt! If TWOTY is to scope out vendors etc. why wouldn't people who are activly booking vendors get priority?

With that logic, you'd be okay with someone off the street getting a spot over someone with 4000 posts because they have more to book for their wedding? That doesn't make sense to me.

If you (not you but a person, theoretically) want to go, be a part of the community, advance the reputation of LIW, make it more lucratvie for the people doing good things for you. It's a symbiotic relationship. You can only do that by posting. DO you have to have 10K? no. But you should have more than 100, and Ron agrees or he wouldn't have said they were raising the post count. Again, I am respectfully disagreeing.

i agree with the more posts count!!

TWOTY is from LIW....so if you support the website & you are constantly on it, you should have a better chance of being able to go!

I've learned in life YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE!!!! so good luck Ron

If that is the case, wouldnt TWOTY be more for the 2012 and later brides since they are pretty much still in the planning prcess? Not to say the 2011ers aren't, but ive already heard some say that they have everything already. I lucked out finding the boards early, and i have my reasons to need 3 years to plan, i think it should be more about posts than years. Just IMO.

U know why I dont like random idea???

I would So be mad If me (as well as other brides) who ae 'Royal' and dedicated time here, WILL not be randomly selected... then here it comes a new bride with only FEW post and she gets it....

Just adding my 1 cent (because I'm poor) but I agree if you are a part of this 'community/family' you have to actively be involved. No you do not need to comment on every single thing. You also can't sit in the corner, so to speak, and do nothing but show up for events.

I did not even mention post counts. I was talking date. I think you have to have 100 to go? That makes sense and I have no problem with it. But as far as advancing this community let's keep in mind that quality is often more important than quantity when it comes to posting.

I was just trying to offer a suggestion to Jennifer's dad, I mean Ron.
