TWOTY

Original post by LIWeddings

No, this isn't what you think it is.

I had an idea and would like your feedback.
Please only answer/vote if you plan on going to TWOTY.

Should we;
1) Post the tickets for sale around 10pm on a random weeknight and whoever gets them, gets them?
2) Allow everyone who wants to go to TWOTY register over a 24 hour period of time - then have the computer select 200 people randomly?

I thought of this in an attempt to be fair to everyone who would like to go.

Either way there will be one table only for newlyweds.

Lets say for instance you did decide to do the random thing... what about the NW table?? how would that be done?

dunno - same way????
I'm open for suggestions

Also keep in mind that you are considered a newlywed if your wedding is anytime before the month TWOTY is held.

And there are no DH's invited with the NW's, right?

Just throwing this out there but how about allowing brides getting married before the event an edge. Not to start a problem but some people will have the chance to go again (and possibly again) before their wedding date.

It's only appropriate that the boss(es) of LIW have a long happy marriage.

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you're saying? Splain! Like, why would people who are already married need/get an 'edge'?

Sorry but why do people who haven't been on the boards as long get discriminated against too? It's all the same!

I voted random. It's only fair. 10pm is always going to miss someone. Random is not.

Well, bed time for me....long 12 hour shift tomorrow starting at 7. I look forward to waking up tomorrow and seeing what the results of the poll end up being. Ron, when are you calling it a night? Still looks pretty even!

My post was not clear at all, sorry!
If the tickets are so limited perhaps, in an effort to make as many people happy as possible, allow the brides to be who will not have the chance to attend next year (unless they are lucky enough to be part of the ONE newlywed table) first crack at the tickets. Again, not to have people jump all over me but 2011 girls should be able to get access before a 2012 person who will have a chance again next year. Just a suggestion

Discrimination? Really? All I am saying is maybe wedding date should be taken into condieration. For example, if you are getting married in 2013 you still have two more chances to go. Someone in 2010 or 2011 does not.
