I thought you were saying that the first one way ugly... i thought it was nice-- then I read that that monstrosity was supposed to BE that cake.....That's not even the same type of icing!! I think so, I found it posted on a blog website. It said the baker was drunk and the bride sued him after the wedding.

OMG!!! Even drunk I think I could do a better job than that! How horrible for that poor bride

regarding that drunken mess of a cake, don't bakers normally make wedding cakes a few days in advance 'cus you really need to cool down the cake in order to put icing on it and decorate it?

what was that baker thinking?!?

OH... MY... I can't BREATHE, I'm laughing so hard... the pigs! The extra chocolate smeared on the pigs so they look like dirty pigs!

And the fake grass! And the fence made out of popsicle sticks! It's all too much for me to handle at one time.

I think this is my favorite LIW thread ever.

Seriously! I did an 'ugly cake' search on Google, and found that, and it tickled my funny bone (especially the proper bride & groom figures on top), but the more I'm looking at it, the more I'm thinking... 'well, Twinkies are delicious...'

That is probably exactly what happened. The baker made the cake that day and it colapsed.
