My fi and I are trying to find a great song for us. Unfortunately, we never really 'had a song.'
We havent had luck with any of the traditional songs.
Any suggestions?

what about 'ribbon in the sky' by stevie wonder... i love that song..it had no meaning for us, cause were using U2..but if we didnt have a song, that would be it ;)

We are using 'Wish Upon a Star' - but FH found a Billy Joel Version that is beautiful

We almost used 'The Luckiest.' We ended up using it as our second song, since we have a song. Our song is 'Wouldn't It Be Nice,' by The Beach Boys. Other good songs (off the top of my head): G-d Only Knows- The Beach Boys Overjoyed - Stevie Wonder (love him, you can't go wrong, as long as you don't use Part-Time Lover) She's No Lady (She's my Wife) - Lyle Lovitt (shows off your sense of humor!)

we're most likely using 'can you feel the love tonight' from the lion king.. we're big disney freaks (i work there!!) and our wedding is an african inspired wedding!

For once in my life is a great song. I think that is going to be the one we use- for many reasons. The only thing about it is that it is hard to dance to. So we are either going to figure out a dance or pick a new song.

I know what you mean about For Once In My Life...but we aren't exactly the slow dance type... so it would be a fun song to do :)
I'm really torn. I like Answer by Sarah McLachlan a lot....
Any other ideas out there??

We are using I Will Be Here For You by Steven Curtis Chapman - a Christian pop singer - beautiful song and definitely not overused or even heard by many guests - in fact I will be surprised if any of our guests know it! The lyrics are sung to the singers wife and are very similar to wedding vows. It is so beautiful.

I liked the idea of Barry White's 'Can't get Enough of your Love Babe'... it's unique b/c it's fast paced and will get the party started!!
I also like Maybe I'm Amazed which is a little different (never heard it before at a wedding) and it's cool
