Up all night crying...(Kinda long)

Up all night crying...(Kinda long)

My mother threw me a suprise shower on Sunday.
I have a bridemaid that lives across the country, and she wasn't obviously there. She called my mother last night telling her that she was upset and thought my mother was wrong for not sending her a shower invitation. My mother told her that she had called the maid of honor and said that if she could please contact all the bridemaids and let them know the time and date where the shower was going to be. Plus my mom tells me later that they did tell her for a different date and she said that it would cost too much to fly over here. Anyhow she was relentless with my mother on the phone. my mother got upset and started screaming at her because she said how dare she call the MOb and question my mother and was very rude and nasty. I told my friend that I was upset that she called my mother and was rude and that I understood that she was upset but she should of have called me not my mother. She then threw in my face the cost of the dress and the cost of her airfaire. I hung up on her my wedding is in 25 days what should I do???? I am tempted to send her a check for the cost of the dress and ticket and not have her in the wedding.
I am so sorry that this is so long!!

Honestly, maybe you should try to talk to her again. maybe she was having a bad day? I'd be pissed, but so close to the wedding, I wouldn't want to kick anyone out... talk to her, if she is still a biach, then kick her out!

Calm down first and don't make any rash decisions based upon your feelings on how she treated your mother! I would call her back when you've calmed down and tell her point blank that you've thought about refunding her all the money and see how she responds. If you feel her answer doesn't justify her actions at this point, then do it and send her the money with the Thank you, but no thank you!

you have to do whatever your heart tells you to do. She was wrong to blast out your mom, but she maybe also feels really excluded living so far away. You MOH should def get her facts straight. She told her the WRONG shower date for goodness sake! And I told my MOH I want bridesmaids to recieve invites. And if I were your fBM riend I would be upset I did not get an invite. Still, she should not have blasted your mom.

Don't let this slip up ruin your friendship.

She had no right to yell at your mom. Maybe she was having a bad day. (SOmetimes moms are the ones that throw the shower) I'd call your MOH and find out what happened. Then I'd call her to talk since you've both calmed down now. Just explain that you're upset she didn't get an invitation, but that you had nothing to do with it.

I'm so sorry! But I agree with everyone. Let things calm down and then talk to her. If she's still acting this way, then I would just refund her dress and ask her to step down. You don't need that crap so close to your wedding.
