Update!

I was correct.. North Shore Manhasset didnt performed surgery. I dont have appendicitis...So happy I went with my gut!! Im treated, discharged and ready to go back to work!!

If u want u can get a second opinion BUT perhaps u should Act ASAP to any decision U do...

FH had his appendix removed last year!! He also had to have surgery right away and i was so worried but it was so minor! He got sick really fast and he is stubborn as hell but I was finally able to make him go to the hospital.

They did it through his belly button so he doesn't even have a scar on his belly. He was out the next day.

I wouldnt wait to get a second opinion, I would hope they know how to diagnose such a common problem. Has it burst yet or is it just inflamed?

omg i probably wouldn't waste time on a second opinion considering it's usually something that has to get taken care of immediately.

i totally agree.

ive had it

its nothing to play around with
it was the most severe pain ive ever had in my life

they usually dont just say that
but i mean if you want to waste another day

id go get the surgery
ASAP

this was last friday??? what are they waiting for? Cindy, I would really just let them take it out. You will waste more days trying to get a second opinion and be more miserable in the process. Before I got FH to go to the hospital, he tried to go to work and he was sweating bullets and had to leave anyway.

Oh, and now that I'm remembering right, he was out the SAME DAY.

He had to stay the night we went to the ER but had surgery in the morning. They wanted to keep him a bit longer but he hates hospitals and we took him home the same day!!!

OH NO!!!!! I hope you get better soon!!! if you feel better getting a second opinion, then go for it, but I agree with some other ladies.. I think this is a time sensitive thing... Good Luck and Feel Better!

I went to the gasenterologist and he performed a CAT scan.. and told me to go to ER asap

This is why I want a 2nd opinion...

FH also had a CAT scan along with a whole bunch of tests. I think we were at the ER from 3pm to 10pm at night when they finally told us he needed surgery the next day.

But how do you feel? I have never seen FH soooo incapacitated with pain. Like are you in pain now??? fever chills? sweating? abdominal pain??

Exactly. DH couldnt eat or drink. He could barely walk. It was miserable.

Feel Better Cindy get that taken care of!
