So I just received an email regarding a San Patrick's trunk show at Pronovias Flagship on my birthday (the 27th). I figured, let me call up, see if my dress is there and see what price would get ordering through the trunk show. The lady at the store tells me:
'Oh, we are no longer carrying this dress because it's being discontinued'
So I immediately call Monica's Bridal (which is where I have an appt on the 24th and where I will be ordering my dress from) and I told the lady I heard San Patrick is discontinuing my dress. She told me that they still do have the sample in the store and what she will do is call San Patrick to see if and when they are discontinuing and if I will be able to order the dress. If i call up and it turns out they are, I may even just take the sample they have in the store, that's how much I want this dress!!!!!
Please pray that they are not discontinuing the dress!

omg thank god you called to ask about the trunk show!!!!!!! I wouldn't be too worried that the flagship store said they wouldn't have it since it's being discontinued...it's true that they just keep the newest stuff. Fingers crossed that the bridal store has luck!

Ahh, don't you love how people say 'oh don't go too early to look for your dress'... then look what can happen.
I say go ASAP with your mom, don't wait for all the bridesmaids, just get over there and order it.

i hope you hear positive news when you call Monica's Bridal! I know how much you loved this dress! If it really is being doscontinued and you won't be able to order it, grab the same but make sure they gove you a ton of money off of it!!!!

A similar situation happened to me. My dress was discontinued and even though it was already discontinued, the designer (Paloma Blanca) allowed me to order the dress for a fee (I think 10-20% extra on top of the cost of the dress). My bridal consultant ended up waiving the fee for me and I was able to order the dress of my dreams (I would have ordered it anyway even if I had to pay the fee).
Sometimes when designers discontinue a dress there is still a window of time that you can order the dress. Not all designers do this, but you may be lucky like I was. Good luck Jessie!! I know how you feel!!

well I called at around 2:30 and she said she hadn't gotten in touch with the company yet and asked me to call back later. When do you think I should call? I don't want to sound like a pushy biotch LOL. They close at 7 I believe.

me too. that's 3 1/2 hrs that she had to hear back, but it's enough time for her to make another call if she needs to. good luck!!!!

One of the stores I was in told me that if they know a dress is being discontinued, if and order is on hold, most of the time the manufacturer will still process that order, they just won't take any new orders.
Call them back at 6:00, and hopefully you'll have good news!! Fingers crossed for you!
