I have come to realize that we just don't have enough money to throw a decent affair. I am not complaining, I am just being honest.
Yesterday and friend of mine told me,'flowers are what make a wedding special and beautiful.'
WE'RE NOT HAVING FLOWERS!!
If we put a floral CPs on our table it will take away money from our honeymoon, it's as simple as that.
I can't win.
I am scared of being ridiculed and humiliated by avid NY wedding goers, seriously I lose sleep over this.
I really want to tell everyone in advance to give me a break, we did the best we could on our blue collar salaries

here is a photo of the crystal bowl we are using on our tables. I have class, I just don't want to spend a butt load of money on flowers because they die!
You don't need flowers....do some candle centerpieces and be done with it. who cares what people like that think--if you and your FH are having a great time it will rub off on everyone else!

You absolutely don't have to have flower CPs! There are plenty of other CPs you can have that are very inexpensive and very pretty!

Lies lies lies.... Tell me... can you remember any of the flowers from any of the weddings you went to??? I can't!
It's the DJ and the people that make the wedding... as long as everyone is on that dance floor having a good time, that's all that matters... THAT makes agreat wedding!

We are not having flower centerpieces. We are making our own centerpices and for 20 tables they cost a total of $200.- thats $20 per centerpices! Dont worry about keeping up with the jones's!

You don't have to do anything you don't want to. It's your day. If you still want some kind of CP. What about a candle in like a hurricane glass? I am sure you can find them cheap in michaels. they have them on sale sometimes. I know what you mean about the flowers. there there for a few hours and not worth it at all. But they do make the room look nice. but I htink the candle thing is nice also.

noooooooooooo they dont!!!!! What are you doing for a CP....theres a ton of other ideas...fruit, candles...you can make small photobox of u and fh......theres a ton of things!!

This was how I convinced my FH that we didn't need to spend $3,000 on flowers!
I told him if he could recall one floral center piece, or any for that matter, I would make it work.

NY weddings are insanely expensive.
In my opinion, good food >>>>> flowers any day. There are lots of other cool centerpiece ideas besides flowers.
What about those fall vegetable candles someone posted yesterday? They looked really cool and you can pair them with some taller candles, etc and they would be really nice.

trust me I k now how you feel....dont lose site of what the most important part of the day is and it isnt flowers...I did for a long time and hated wedding planning.....now that I am back on tract to what is important its so much better
