Vacation Booked!!!

I posted a while ago that I really want to go away on vacation before the HM.. So I've been searching since then for cheap airfare and hotels in Disney. SO last night I booked half of the vacation..

I bought the airfare last night through JetBlue.

Downside is that we have to go to Newark because that was the cheapest.

It was 210 per person to leave out of JFK or LGA.. But ONLY 140 per person out of Newark.. How great was that!! I Saw that price and knew I had to book it last night. We were looking at hotels and didnt really find anything affordable that was nice as of right now.. We're just going to probably stay at one of the cheap disney hotels.. but we figured that price never really changes so we'll pay off the airfare first and then book the hotel.. But I'm sooo excited because now we are officially going away!!

PLUS!.. I kept you girls in mind.. we were going to go away in October.. but i dont know when the 08 Bridal Shower will be soo.. we're going away from Sept 29 til Oct 4th. So even if the Bridal shower is the first weekend in October I'm there!!!

Yayyy congrats!! we're looking to go back to the Disney this year too mainly cuz Im a Disney addict.

We're booking on the Disney site and hopefully staying at their All Star Movie Resort. Its only $82 a night. To cut more costs we're not renting a car and using only Disney transportation to all the parks.

Well, your wedding is almost 1 year away!! (How exciting!!! Mine was the day before yours! ) But now our HM is still over a year and a half away!! ) Plus we probably wont take it right after the wedding because with FH in the restaurant biz, the holiday season is SUPER busy.. So we'll probably be going sometime in January.. so even further away

Thats what we are looking into too.. I've been to Disney countless times.. but even thinking about it makes me soo happy.. It really is the happiest place on earth!!! FH has never been there so I'm excited to go for the first time with him..

I've always stayed at the All Star Sports Resort. I think they are nice for their prices which is why we'll probably stay there.. but since i've always stayed there I wanted to go somewhere else. But it is sooo much better because of the price and the shuttles, so we cut out the rental car. Do you know how much it would be to take a cab to Universal though from the All Star Resorts?

i know, i think we might not take a vacation this year also...We talked about doing a short trip maybe vegas or florida but not sure yet ...but we are going in a few weeks to his house in the poconos to just relax lol

Thats nice too! I was thinking of doing that if FH nixed the whole flying somewhere idea. I was looking at airfare to Vegas and the cheapest airfare i found was $250.

yeah weve mentioned it but not sure if we should do it...Like we really want to go on vacation, but then i start thinking about it, and saying the airfare, hotel and money we would spend there we should put towards the RH so who knows

Yeah, it all adds up. Disney for example. Airfare and Hotel is going to be relatively inexpensive.. But the passes into the Parks! Crazy expensive!

yeah i heard that the passes are very expensive...how much are they?

its crazy bc when i went to great adventure last summer they had raised to the price to $60 i think even a little over 60...theyve been raising it every summer, so is this summer gonna be $70, its ridiculous

For 3 day park Hopper in Disney, it's somewhere around 250 a person... So thats an extra 500.. And universal in 80 a person (luckily I have a Universal CC and may use my points to buy the tickets) But if not, thats almost 700 just to go to the Parks.. Plus add the money for food and souveniers!!

But i'm still excited!!

it really is ridiculous...my cousin used to live right next to disney, like 10mins away...i know she said there were ways to get discounts on your tickets, ill ask her.

Thanks. I know they get discounts at Disney. My friend is actually moving there next month and wants to meet up with us when we are there. I can always see if she can buy the tickets.. Hmm!!!

oh yeah she can def get tix...when you live in florida, well at least in orland, at work they give you discounted passes...thats great if you have a friend who lives there...hey anything you can save on those passes will be great.
