Viennese Hour

Viennese Hour

Are you doing one? And if you don't mind sharing, how much extra did it cost?

I'm thinking about doing one, but I don't know if I'd really want to add the extra hour of OT on a Friday night.

We are not doing one. I believe our hall charges an additional $12-$15 per person.

we're doing it but to be honest i dont quite know how much extra it was.
iMy FH and i are dessert fanatics, so why not?

Re: Viennese Hour

we're just doing a mini viennese mainly because the viennese at our hall is in the same room as the cocktail hour and i don't want to disrupt the party by having people go back and forth

I am having one. Def worth it bec you get soooo many sweets and goodies. It ranges from 15-18 pp and add an hour to your reception

I'm a dessert fanatic too, I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it haha.

Someone told me that sometimes the hall will do it and combine it with the reception. . .so you get the extra desserts, without the overtime. . .we'll have to see.

But I have a special place in my heart for chocolate fountains

I'm not doing it. its $15 pp and jericho terrace already has so much food and I've heard of alot of weddings that do the viennese and alot of it goes to waste...although cannoli's and cheesecake would be nice...and some red velvet cupcakes. But when i spoke to anthony he said that if we brought in any dessert alternatives to serve that there would be no extra cake cutting fees or anything like that...bc we had discusses diabetic options and if we could bring in some diabetic friendly options.

Tanya - that was my thing. I mean, mine is a Friday night, but I would just feel like if my reception went to like 1:30, people would just start leaving early? My friends are big boozers, I don't know if they would make it 6 hours!

well on a friday night i wouldnt be to concerned cause at least most people dont have to get up early ... but as far as the big boozers your right they may not make it or worse they will and be even more bombed ... but if u want it do it ... i am sure there will be enough people there for it ...

depends, i went to a wedding not long ago and FH and i waited until most ppl went around the tables to get our stuff, well mostly everything we wanted was gone by then. This actually happened at 2 weddings...Everyone says it goes to waste but most of it gets eaten from what i see.

Im sure a lot of it does go to waste but ill regret it if i dont do it. His fam is big into it, when ever we go to a wedding we have a field day!!

Hmmm, 10-12 bucks is pretty reasonable I think.

My luck I'd get chocolate on my gown, but it may be worth it anyway lol

Re: Viennese Hour

The Harbor Club charges $20 pp (I think!). I always thought I'd have one, b/c they are really so nice, but that is a lot extra to spend. We worked it out that they threw in the chocolate fountain, italian pastries and cookies for each table and they have their own special cookie/cake/ice cream concoction(sp) that each table would get also. Plus there is wedding cake. We figured that would be enough dessert for everyone!

See if you can work something else out with your hall for the desserts. I'm sure they will throw something in!
