Vote on my DIY invites please

Vote on my DIY invites please

After debating whether or not to DIY my own invites and not finding anything else that I liked, I have decided to go ahead and do my own pocketfolds

I designed my invite and insert cards, and decided on papers/colors (coco 6x6 pocketfold, sky blue accent, crystal white - aka metallic white - cardstock for invites and inserts). I just have to decide on how to use the sky blue accent (or if I should use it at all) so that I can place an order for all the supplies to make 100.

Can you please take a look at the following options and vote which you like best? Or tell me which are your top two? Everything is starting to look the same to me

*Note: nothing has been glued down yet because I only have one full set of everything so far*

Option 1: Blue matte around invite only

Option 2: Blue matte around RSVP card only

Option 3: Blue matte around invite AND rsvp

Option 4: No blue mattes, just crystal white cardstock on coco pocketfold

I like #1 the best too because the invitation is the focal point of the set.

It draws you right to the invitation.
You did an amazing job on that!!! I would have paid you to do my invitations!!!!

Re: Vote on my DIY invites please

Thanks ladies! It's actually not as difficult as it looks (or as I thought it would be!)... then again, let's see after I have to glue down all the pieces

I am buying everything from Cardsandpockets.com (for now I just bought one full sample to test out the printing and decide on colors and paper type). I will be ordering:

6 x 6 Coco pocketfolds
Sky blue invitation mattes
Crystal white invitations
Crystal white inserts

I designed everything in Microsoft Word. I just set up a file for invitations, went to page setup and changed the paper size, and made the margins .25' all around. Same for the inserts.

For the outside monogram squares, I printed four to a page on the invitation size paper and used a paper cutter to cut them down to 2x2 size.

That's about it. I'll use one of the recommended glue tapes to stick everything down.

Hey, we're hall twins!!!
Honestly, I think you have enough time! There are a few things that I am just waiting on that I'll have to do in the summer (have to wait to do my e-pics and will use those to do some of my projects) etc. so I wanted to get a head start on my invites. Also, I just didn't know if I'd really be able to do them DIY, but it's NOT as bad as it looks!

I would say, if you want to do DIY pocketfolds, decide on the colors and the size. Maybe order a couple of samples (I ordered different colors and sizes of pocketfolds an the papers so that I could get an idea and decide). That way, you'll know what you want to do. Remember that they should go out in mid-August the latest, and it will take a week or so to get the supplies, then you need time to print everything and assemble. I would try to start by June so that you don't feel rushed. But you have time!!!

I didn't even think about this, but now that you mentioned it, it really might look good! Too bad I'm already kinda dreading the glue portion of this DIY!

I am getting them from www.cardsandpockets.com. Once the cardstock is glued down and the inserts are in them, they're perfect!

I like #3 nly because I prefer the uniform look, but I agree that #1 stands out more because the invite ebcomes the focal point.
