Waiting for callback from company I interviewed with

Well my story continues from the job that I went on the second interview with last week. It turns out that the HR rep was doing out of office training all last week. I called her monday morning, and this is what she told me. She also told me that she was going to talk to the hiring manager and the VP that I interviewed with to see what they think about hiring me for the position.

Well she said she was going to call me tuesday, and I never got a call. So now it is wednesday, and I am dying to find out if I got the job.

If I don't hear from her on friday, Do you think I should call back? I don't want to seem pushy, but I am dying over here waiting...

If you don't hear from her by Friday, I don't think there's anything wrong with calling again...

I think you will hear before Friday. And if you don't, you can definitely call again.

I was thinking about calling friday morning.

If they only knew what stress I was under waiting for their call...Argh

Yes, waiting for a callback is soooooo frustrating! I used to work as a temp in a human resources department for a really huge company, and my job was to answer the phone. Applicants called at least twice per hour... 'Why hasn't anyone called back about my interview yet?' or 'They said they'd be in touch by two days ago!' were constant refrains. I know HR people are really busy, but it stinks to be on the outside waiting to hear from them!

I would call her by thursday. Sometimes its just a case of being too busy and not having a chance to make the call!

ETA: ON a side note, the most annoying thing that happens to me all day is that people call me and say ' I sent you my resume, did you get it?' Yeah I probably did but we get about 50 a week! But it is fine for a candidate to call - shows you are eager and interested. And have good follow up skills!

I think thursday would be too soon...I think i will wait till friday morning. I will call around 10am I think.

Yes i sent 3 thankyou notes. One to the HR recruiter, One to the Hiring Manager, and one to the VP.

Well its thursday morning, and still no phone call. I am thinking about calling there this afternoon.

I went down to the cafeteria this morning, and I saw the HR rep from my company. She wanted to meet with me about another job I interviewed for in my company. I wish I could hear back from the job I want before I go on a second interview for the job in my company. I really want this other job.

My friend that I spoke to this morning, said I should wait till monday to call the other company back, because I would seem pushy if I called back today.

I hate this. I don't know what to do.
