When you went to school how did you get there?
I was a walker until Jr.High
Sometimes even in the rain

at my old school I was a walker, but we moved and from then on I was on a bus. I hated to bus it to school.

my elementary school half a block from my house
my JHS 6 blocks from my house
my HS 5 blocks from my house

Yup I was a walker

allure....I lived around the corner from my elementary school...the junior high was a quick hope over my backyard fence... and my high school was about a 15 minute walk away!!

I always tell John that I want to walk to the closest shopping center and he says 'why ???' A few times I've walked to the nail place there. Its not a far distance at all, (less than half mile), but the way the street is siutated is a bit dangerous. I'd walk down a steep,hilly road and then onto a very busy street with a small sidewalk...
OK so maybe he's right in this case...

Walker in Elementary School
Bus in Jr. High
Got driven in high school (first because school was on austerity and our transportation had been cut for a whole year!! then I was driven by my friend who had a car )

Thats one thing I LOVEDD about living in Astoria. My sis, and I few close friends, we'd walk a good 7-8 miles around like a 30 block radius, from one end to the other. Just walk and walk for like 3-4 hours. Ohhh, I MISS that feeling....

I live like 5 minutes from the school so I always walked until I got my car (which was the end of senior year anyway). My Princess Little Sister always found some poor sap to drive her to school starting from 9th grade! Like it would have killed her to walk the 5 minutes to school!
