Re: Walking Down the Aisle
my mom will be walking me. she was the one who raised me and there's no doubt for me that it'll be her. heck. my dad's not even invited to the wedding.

I was going to walk with both but the aisle to our church was really narrow. My mom felt like if she walked too we’d all be really squashed.
Took the words outta my mouth too..I'm walking with both my parents, at my mom's request. I don't mind one bit..
I'll be walking with my stepfather. My dad is deceased.
I'm no help because if my Mom were still alive I would have both of my parents walk me down the aisle. But I will say this...I always thought it would have just been my dad to walk me down the aisle. But as I got older I started to see my parents as people and as my friends and not just parents. So from that standpoint because I loved and respected them in a whole different way I would have had both of them walk me down the aisle. I don't want you to think that the only reason I say both now is because my mom is no longer with us...my decision would have been that either way.
I'm walking down the aisle with both of my parents. I couldn't imagine not including my mom. She's just as important as my dad.
Im walking down with just my dad. My mom is actually all for this being about my dad and I. We are driving to the church alone and he is the only one walking me down the aisle.
walking down the aisle with both parents.
Both parents.....my parents are divorced and My dad wasn't around a lot for quite a few years
I'm walking down with just dad - that's his moment to shine. Mom will be escorted down w/my brother, and then both moms will be lighting the unity candle.
I'm with you on ALWAYS dreaming of my dad walking me down the aisle and my mom standing at the other end watching me walk down. My mom hinted since the DAY we got engaged that she wanted to walk down with me and my dad. My dad said he didn't mine (I asked him) as long as she doesn't think she's getting a dance too (I'm 1 of 3 girls). My mom is Jewish and my dad is Catholic and we're trying not to do too many traditions at the ceremony because my FH is Catholic too and that it's just a LONG service. Anyway, I told my mom that she could walk us down the aisle if she wanted to. Let me tell you it was nice to see her cry out of happiness and feeling like she's important in the wedding (which she is but she doesn't feel like she gets to do anything). Anyway, it is a nice compromise too that you can have her stand half way waiting for you, so she gets the vision of seeing you walk in with your dad and then she can join you half way down. Sometimes, it's easier to give up something you REALLY want, to make someone else happy. It happens all the time with planning a wedding and my FSIL in CONSTINTLY telling me, the wedding isn't for you and the FH, it's for everyone else involved. I don't know about you girls but I don't care if my FH's cat walks me down the aisle and my neighbors dog married us, as long as I can marry my best friend and the love of my life, that's all that matters in the long run.
I think I am going to walk down with both parents.
I walked down the aisle with both my parents. I wouldnt have it any other way!
My dad is walking me down the aisle...my mom is pretty much all for this
I'm going to have both of my parents walk me down the aisle. They were both so pleasantly surprised by this and thought that I'd either walk down on my own or have only my dad walk me down. After much thought, I felt that since I'm equally close to both of them, I'd have them both partake in it.
