Re: Was there a defining moment....
I fell in love with him when I was 15, we were together for a while and when we got back together 3 years ago, I realized I was still in love with him..even during our 4 years apart.

Re: Was there a defining moment....
i had known FH for about 8 years and when I came home from junior year of college I saw him at a party and it was like love at first sight (I had never really thought of him like that, but suddenly I saw him and was like WOW!)
actual love was after i had a really bad ski fall (after about an hour of skiing) i wanted to stop. FH was having a blast but he left the mountain with me and went outlet shopping. I knew I loved him after he gave up a whole day of skiing for me (and tolerated outlet shopping!)

On our first date (we had been 'talking' for a few weeks). Then, it was clinched when I saw him with his then-2-year old goddaughter.

Re: Was there a defining moment....
Hmmm. Honestly I knew he was special when he actually called me the next day after our first date.
He became increasingly special to me and came into my life at a point where I was losing the very first love of my life - my father. He was patient with his time and support while I was tending to my family's needs. He passed a test I never wanted to give and not once complained. As I have said before, I am blessed to have had them both together even if for a short time. Having FH in my life helps me cope with the loss of my Dad. I couldn't do it by myself. He is by no means a replacement for my father, but if I had asked my father to choose someone for me, he would have chosen Ed HANDS down. He is everything a man could want for his daughter.

Re: Was there a defining moment....
I realized that I loved him when he came to my house late one night into about the fourth or fifth month of dating, and he was hysterically crying (yes, FI is the emotional one in our relationship) b/c of a family situation and I found myself not judging him one bit.

Re: Was there a defining moment....
I was instantly attracted to him and I can vividly remember the first time he said he loved me (he said it first) after a few months of dating we were in the parking lot of a local pool hall just chatting about how much fun we had together and he said 'you know I do right?' I'm like 'you do what?' (I had no idea what he was talking about). He's like 'you know, love you' It was so sweet, I'll never forget that day. Me and him have been through so many ups and downs in the 3 years that we have been together and we made it through all of it. I love him more and more each day !!!
Can't wait to be Mrs. D

Re: Was there a defining moment....
I think I fell in love with him when about 4 months into dating he asked me to come with him to his aunt's tombstone unveiling.
The day before the unveiling, he was telling me stories about his aunt and how much he missed her since she told him he was her favorite nephew. Then he started crying. I held him close and knew right and then that this was the man I was going to hold on to forever.
It was also when I would meet the whole family. It kind of helped that we all got along famously!!

WE DIDN'T WAIT at all! First Date and that was it!
I wasn't interested in a relationship at the time...I'm still in shock to this day that we've LASTED this long!!!!
I laugh hysterically everytime I hear one of my friends say 'Don't put out too early, he'll never call.' HA!

UH ME TOO!!!
Well ya sort of have to know our history. FH and I met at a fraternity party in September of 1988. I was pi$$ drunk and he used his slick line on me:
'So I hear you are from Long Island'
and I am thinking'Um we are at Syracuse University, who ISN'T from LI.'
So anyway he says we lived in the same dorm and he asked me if I wanted to go back together so I did.
OK. OK. We hooked up but I did not let IT happen. After that I ignored him for the next year and a half until I found he transferred out.
Fast forward 15 and a half years later, we met on JDate, went out once and the rest is history. So basically, I made him wait over 15 years to have me.

we were dating for a few mts. Nothing had 'happend' at this time we went out to diner and for drinks - then went back to his house to watch a move - well i fell asleep -he carried me to his bed took my shoes off and slept on the floor! ..........2 weeks later it was mothers day and he brought my mom flowers when I was at work - that was it! he has had my heart forever!
