Waterfront venues

Hello everyone!

I am planning a spring 2017 wedding, ideally in May, but most likely in April(or even March) because of budgeting. I am planning on having 100 guests and having the reception on Saturday evening. For food, drinks, and venue, my budget is 16k (with tax), total budget is 25k. Is a waterfront wedding in Long Island doable for 16k/~150pp during April or May?

Here are some places I was looking at, if you have their prices please or their guest minimums, please let me know. Any comments and suggestions also welcomed! Many thanks!

1) Venetian Yacht Club-dream location, seems like it might be too expensive, possible to make it work?!

2)The Riviera

3)Land's End- seems probably out of my price range

4)The Swan Club

5)Bridgeview Yacht Club

6) Chateau La Mer

7)The Crescent Beach club-seems out of my price range?

8)Snapper's Inn

9) Lombardi's on the Sound

10)Sea Cliff Manor

11)Village Club at Sand Point

Thanks again

Congratulations!!! I'm completely bias to The Venetian lol. When my FH and I went to meet with them we were torn between an April or May wedding. They are open to negotiating during off season. So that's why we went for April. I think for a March wedding they may work with your budget based on your guest amount. I would definitely ask them. Good luck and happy planning.

$16K for about 150 people is around $105pp including everything. I definitely think it's doable for off-season. Of the ones you mentioned, I have quotes for Venetian, Land's End, and Lombardi's on the Sound. You have FM =)

Chateau la mer was extremely affordable! I have late march quotes which I believe early april was 10 more pp but you might be able to work something out if you did 1st week in april.- the march quote with taxes for 200 people was a little over 13k. I really wanted to do a march wedding since the price was unheard of but you do not get to use the yacht and the palm trees are not new - but I went there yesterday for our tasting and it was still so beautiful on a march weekend! I do not have the quotes on me right now but I can send them to you when I get home.

Lombardi's on the Bay! We are having our wedding there. Not sure on 2017 or off season pricing, we booked in 2013! Haha. They just opened up their ballroom so it's not as tiny as it was, I was so worried considering I am probably going to have 150 people!

I can tell you that lands end and bridgeview have at least 150 minimum for that time of year no matter what day you choose. Crescent beach club quoted me $145 for a Sunday during that time frame for 2016 because their Friday and Saturday guest minimums are crazy high. Venetian yacht club and chateau la mer definitely in your price range but my problem was that I like the larger ballrooms in both of those venues and minimum guarantee is 150. Chateau la mer wasn't for us at all. Venetian yacht club was a top contender for us but ultimately we did not like their food - however they are immaculately clean and give top notch service. My advice to you is to see everything you want to see .... We wasted a lot of times seeing venues that were not our taste or in our price range or even met the guest minimums because we originally only wanted waterfront. Once we hit our 13th venue tour it dawned on me that I could be missing out on something spectacular and much more suited to our style just because it wasn't waterfront. In the long run we settled on something that is PERFECT indoors and even has a lake outside .... The best of both worlds lol. Good luck and let me know if you would like any more info since I have seen every single waterfront venue in nassau county

Also, there's one week in May every year that crescent beach club discounts their prices like $20 pp because they await the fresh Palm tree shipment and they take the old ones down

Mansion at West Sayville may be something to look into for you. It's got a different feel, but they would work in your budget and have water views of the Great South Bay. I know in the summer they also have outdoor ceremonies/receptions at the LI Maritime Museum which is on a dock. Also check out Captain Bills in Bay Shore, they are on the water and I remember them being reasonably priced, I just don't remember the exact quote off the top of my head.

check out the riviera. it's definitely in your price range for March or April. just wanted to mention that with a total budget of 25k, you might want to spend less than 16k on the venue. After photo, video, dj, flowers, officiant, dress, invitations, limos, hair & makeup, decor, etc. it really adds up. Just for reference, my budget is 25k & I'm spending 11-12k on the venue (depending on the # of guests that RSVP yes). But if you have wiggle room then that's fine

All of my quotes are for July 2017 which will probably be more expensive than March. I can still FM you if you want some of them. Being on the water was important to us too. :)

I was quoted $130pp++ for a Saturday night in October so that does seem quite high. I think mine was a 150 min but it was too small for us (didn't seem like it could hold 150) and needed updating when we visited a year ago.

For the Snapper Inn, they don't do weddings before May outside on their Pavillion, I think they were even considering not doing them in May as well. They are willing to work with a smaller number of guests, but they are pricey (I think I was quoted $130pp, don't remember if that is with or without tax.)

I'm getting married at Chateau la mer in May. I initially went in thinking I couldn't afford to have a may wedding but they negotiated with me. Try they they are pretty flexible.
