Watermill Caterers!! Anyone booked there? Do tell do tell
Hi Everyone,Thank you everyone for all your help!!!
You guys have been very helpful.
Well, I have been trying to narrow down a location for a reception. My wedding will be in suffolk county Near middle country rd, near Stony Brook. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for reception halls in that area. Its almost a shot in the dark since I have not attended any weddings at any reception halls in suffolk so I'm looking for some recommendations.
Thanks,
Natalie
Budget : Hopeful for 85-95 per head
Size of party: 150-200 guests

The Watermill in SmithtownFlowerfield in St.James/Smithtown
Do you know how many guests you are going to have and what your budget is? It will help you narrow places down.
Welcome to the board

Re: First Time User!! Reception Hall WOES!!
There are few I know of, maybe you could give more details like $ range & amount of people. And if there anything specific you want(like do you want to have your ceremony there or anything).

Re: First Time User!! Reception Hall WOES!!
There's the Three Village Inn and the Country House. It depends on the size of your wedding. How many people were you thinking of having?Three Village InnThe Country House
Or you could have your reception at Danfords

Re: First Time User!! Reception Hall WOES!!
Stonebridge Country Club is very nice & start at $90 pp. I also know there 1 wedding at a time, if that is important to you.Edited to say: Check out this website http://www.print2webcorp.com/news/newsday/wedding/20020707/p31.asp
It really helped us.

Re: First Time User!! Reception Hall WOES!!
I visited the Watermill and was quoted $80 for a Sat afternnon wedding in Sept. With tax and everything it was $102 a person. I went with Larkfield Manor in East Northport - the prices were more reasonable, but I did sacrifice lush grounds. We are now having a Sat night wedding in (edited to say) September (oops!) for less than most of the other places charge for day receptions.Larkfield Manor
Larkfield can have 2 weddings at a time, but they swear they stagger it - we'll see. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I don't run into the other bride if there is one

WOW !! That is great!!viennese too huh, I should go and find out about it. I was thinking of May of next year for my wedding but I'm looking to move it up a couple of months provided I can get a better price for the reception.

I am getting married at the Watermill this July - Saturday night wedding. The prices go up during the peak months and for a night reception. The Watermill is a great place and I am not just saying that because I am getting married there. I have attended wedding throughout Long Island and I can't really say anything terrible about it.

The Watermill is great, I'm getting married there in March. It will be in your price range! and your # of people will be fine too! We have a Min. of 80 people for the big room on the main floor! If you are looking to have your wedding in August of 2003 which is 6 months way, if your flexible with the date...you will get a GREAT PRICE per person
GOOD LUCK!

I'm getting married at the Watermill May 30, 2004 (which is Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend). We were very happy there and the price seemed to be in our budget- we are hoping to keep the number to about 120 guests...

Re: Watermill Caterers!! Anyone booked there? Do tell do tell
I am gettting married at the Watermill this fourth of july! I love it there. I have never heard anyone say a bad thing about it. My FH and I looked at 10 halls and this is where we chose.I have been to Flowerfields also and it is gorgeous but its pricey so I am not sure that it will fit in the price range you are looking in. Although it all depends which month you are looking for.
Feel free to forum mail me any questions!!!
