We gave our final bid on a house - UPDATE!!!!!!

And I'm not feeling too optimistic. I keep telling myself that if it doesn't work out, there is always something better out there. It's so hard to think that way especially since we're so close and this house was perfect. Maybe it's not perfect enough

Update:
The seller ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!

is this your first offer on this house? and why are you not optimistic? any reason or just nervous. Has the house been on the market a while?

No, we've gone back and forth since Saturday. This is our final. If it isn't accepted we're walking away. I don't know for sure when it went on the market, but I have been watching for a long time and I have seen it for months. I do know that when we saw it the asking price was lower than the original selling price.

ETA: ok i read your post that you edited...well if its been months then thats a good sign.

She mentioned October, but I don't know if that was when the price dropped or when it originally went on the market. The seller already has a new place so definitely motivated. I guess I'll see how motivated. FH thinks it won't sell for awhile if we don't get accepted. People are really waiting for prices to drop more and it will happen.

I know. I don't think they're paying mortgage though, just the taxes. But still, I'd want out and in my new place! I know other people have seen it prior to us but I don't know if offers were ever made.
