So, we were just told that there will be no more jeans on Friday! I can't believe this! I understand that AE's shouldn't be wearing jeans because they have client contacts all the time, but the designers and writers, on Fridays? Come on!!! I totally don’t understand the purpose behind this policy! I loved wearing jeans on Friday, it was one day of the week when I didn’t have to think about what to wear! Jeans and turtleneck and I am out the door!
I am upset! Does anyone else have that rule imposed in their office?

We wear jeans here when it snows, it is just understood, I see different people from different depts wearing jeans, but not us. We also wear jeans when the stock market is closed and we are here on our own.

OMG- I never realized how good we have it over here. Some people in my dept. come to work in wind pants! We are SOOO casual- and when I don't wear jeans, I'm usually one of the most dressed up people! I feel too weird wearing jeans and sneakers everyday.
As for the summer, if we couldn't wear flip-flops... I'd have no shoes! LOL.
ETA: If I came in wearing a suit... It is so out of the norm--- They'd think I was going on an interview!

do you work at an agency? I have never heard of an agency that said that!! I would be out of luck - I would have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe!
