maybe it means they just want to come by and dance and say congrats but not eat. maybe they'll bring you a gift!

Re: 'We may stop by'???
Count it as a NO !! If they show up on time for dinner you can always add them in that night. Otherwise if you def count them in than you def will have to pay. Please are so fricking inconsiderate like we dont have enough crap to worry about.

tell them they are welcome to stop by to drop the gift off, but your not counting them for a meal!!! bet you will get your answer then if they are coming or not!

wow, that is one i have never heard of. Maybe you should let them know if they want to stop by, to make sure its after your sit down meal. You wouldnt want them 'popping in to say hi' while all the guests are eating dinner....

Re: 'We may stop by'???
I have to agree that this is quite inconsiderate... Why are they stopping by? I have one person who may do this but her husband will be in our wedding and she will be in her best friend's wedding the same night. That I can understand but there aren't many reasons I would understand this...

I would just let them know that you have to have a final number to your caterer so if they plan on coming they need to tell you so by X date. Then count them as a no. Good luck...
That is probably safer - it would be so embarassing if they showed up and had no place to sit (esp since they are your bosses)..then again, they could just be saying that they will try to stop by to be nice but really have to intention on actually doing it so I is probably safe to count them as a no. I can't believe people actually do this crap! Have they no concept of what an RSVP is?!

Re: 'We may stop by'???
You would think that people have the common sense to know that at a wedding you need to know exactly how many people are going to be there for the reception meal! Just goes to show you that there is no such thing as common sense anymore!!!

Wow. That's a new level of annoying. I'd just count them as no. And if they mention again that they're stopping by, I'd say, 'Don't bother.'
I second that, because it's like they don't want to commit to going to your wedding, but if they have nothing better to do they will go. I'd call them and tell them you are putting them as no's and not to 'stop by' because you have to pay for each guest.
