We're official ;-) !!!! VERY VERY VERY LONG!!!

I can't wait for everyone to get married!!! December 22nd was the BEST BEST day ever - it was everything I dreamed of and much more... Everything went exactly as planned, our ceremony was beautiful (that was most important to us) and the reception and all that went along with it was spectacular. Do I sound happy?? OK - here's my vender review: Spitz & Peck (flowers) - we worked with Richard Baker and he was wonderful to work with. It was so hard to find a florist that was able to work in our budget (not that they were terribly inexpensive - but they weren't as ridiculous as other florists we visited) - and Rich was very fair and he more than delivered on the day of our wedding. My and my BM's bouquets were AMAZING and the centerpieces were romantic and elegant Deena Miller Music (Route 66) - Deena is now my best friend. She has the voice of an angel and is just as wonderful to work with. We are getting calls left and right about our band - the floor was packed all night and she even learned both of our parent's wedding songs & a father/daughter song that we picked out that was unique. Elena - Hair & Makeup - Hmmmm..... Let me begin by saying that the finished product was wonderful - I felt beautiful all night - and the pictures that I've seen are amazing. BUT - the process was very stressful & she was kinda unprofesional.... It took her over 3 hours to get my hair right (after 2 trials that lasted 4 hours each!) and although I kept my cool when we were about to be late to the temple, it was very difficult. I won't go into details - but in a nutshell, my hair was up and down 3 times before it was done - and that's no fun on your wedding day... And I guess my biggest complaint is that as my husband and I were being escorted to the door of our reception to be introduced & have our first dance, she chose that moment to approach ME to ask to be paid! Then I told her that my mom will take care of her - I'm about to take my first dance, she walked into the reception DURING my first dance and tapped my mom on the shoulder and told her she'd like to be paid so she can leave. Mom wasn't very happy.... Mark Kaufman - photography - AMAZING!!! We worked with Lynn & Drew - both fine art photographers and they were just unbelievable - and I haven't even seen the proofs yet. Just the nicest people and very professional. They went above and beyond. Lynn was also very calming when I became nervous about the hair situation and was just a doll. Shelter Rock Jewish Center in Roslyn - I don't believe anyone on this board has gotten married there, but if you are Jewish and want to be married in a Jewish center - this is THE one. Mary is the woman you work with and she is just beyond what I could ever describe - She's on top of everything. The service was top notch (guests raved even about the people taking their coats at the door & handing them champaign & strawberries upon arrival) One guest wasn't thrilled with our choice of raspberry vinigarette on the salad & a server came right over and offered her a beautiful fruite platter instead. The food is to die for & the place is incredible. B rett M atthews - video - just watched the raw footage last night and was blown away by the quality. Their editing is top notch also but we haven't done that part yet. Michael was also great to work with Anyway - I think that's it - I'll try to post pics when we get them.
