Wedding Dress.. How much is too much???

i started out saying I wouldn't spend more than 2k...
and i swore up and down that anything more than that was just ridiculous and not worth it

I tried on tonssssssssssssss of dresses in that range...never got the one feeling

i fell in love with a lot of expensive dresses i saw online...so i found the salon that carried them
tried them on....fell in love with a 5k dress...

I felt bad bc my mom offered to pay for my dress, but knew she couldnt afford 5k...so i told her to pay what she could and Id fill in the rest

if your mom is OK with it then totally do it! yes it is one day and only a few hours...but it is one of THE most special days of your life...and NEVER in your life will you be able to rock an expensive dress like that! so you better do it while you can!

if i found something cheaper that i loved then i would have totally bought it...but i didnt...oh well! you cant put a price on LOVE!

My mom also said she will pay for my dress, but I'm in a better financial situaction than she is so I feel bad. I told her my budget is around $2000 and whatever she can contribute is up to her. I think its just the thought that counts and if your mom wants to pay for something you love then do it....

My dress including tax is just below 2k. My mom paid for my dress.

My mom bought my dress.

She gave me a $4000 budget.

But the dress I loved was under $2000!
