My oldest sister got married at St. Pat's Cathedral in June of 1983 (yes, I'm old). It was AMAZING!!!!!!! I could never walk down the center aisle w/out tripping or breaking down.

Her reception was 3 blocks away at a great restaurant (my dad's!) and she had all 3 floors there. Her *limos* were hansom cabs!!!! SOOOOOO cool. Tourists were taking pics of her and her DH because they thought they were celebrities!! HEHE

I wouldn't pass up this opportunity!! I would have fought tooth & nail to get married there if my DH was Catholic!!

Have you scheduled pre-cana yet?! Best of luck!! Do what you and your FH want and don't worry about your mom!!

Guys thanks so much for the well wishes. It's so nice to see my FH excited FINALLY (a lot of you know my story from recent posts...) We really seem connected on this and are extremely excited. Its so nice to be concentrating on the CEREMONY this way.

We mee the Mnsgr. tomorrow. We are scheduling pre-cana then (I know we are a little late but they are fitting us in), and we will I guess get asked the million questions that go along with this! Hopefully he'll still agree to marry us after all that!!!

I'll let you guys know. Stef - I dont' know if it's cathedral or chapel. I will find that out tomorrow. The ceremony will be at 2:00 though - this I do know!
