Wedding Gown on Ebay

I've been looking at a few gowns on ebay, Many of the gowns are coming from china, with a shipping cost of approx. $150.

Has anyone here ever bought a gown on ebay ?

No but Valcollections2 is supposed to be really great-fantastic prices for big name designers and well rated. let me grab my bridal bargains book-they gave letter grades to the reputable vendors..GREAT Book. If you want to cut corners, I reccomend picking it up.

They reccomended the following:

RKbridal.com (A) The benefit of this place is they have a store in city so you can try dresses before you order. if you find same derss cheaper anywhere else online, you show them and they will match and then lower their price by 5% BUT they bill you exactly the way that online place does, which usually means all at once or two large payments.

Bridesave.com was a good place and I actually ordered my dress from there and had no problems but they have since gone out of business.

I was wondering the same thing, some actually come from brooklyn. You should try the knot's boards they have a thread all about it.

I bought my dress on ebay but not from the ones they make in china. it was from a store (cant remember the seller) and it was a maggie sottero, brand new, never worn, orig $1200 I got it for $300 (w/shipping). the dress happens to fit perfectly and is a 2-piece so the top portion is adjustable (w/satin ties in the back to tighten-signature maggie dress style). Im very happy but I would be careful, esp w/ those from china....

i havent. but wanted to say im trying to help my sis sell hers and we put it on ebay before but it seems like from what i can tell, theres no real turn over for wedding dresses on ebay for some reason.

BTW, my sisters dress is in my 'items for sale' album and also on sellyourweddingdress.com , you might want to actually check that website too and see if you like anything. you could also try maybe netbride. i forget the other site sometimes mentioned on here.
