Wedding Preparations

I'm having trouble deciding what would be best for me to join with the wedidng countdown now in less than 8 months. I have the following 2 options:
1. Signing up for 7 weeks of Pilates for one night a week for an hour starting at the end of February
2. Signing up for 8 weeks of fitness training for 2 nights a week for 1 hour, 15 minutes starting at the end of february.

I've never done Pilates before, so I'm not all that familiar with it. Please send me your opinions and experiences with either idea!!! ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED! TIA!

Re: Wedding Preparations

I would go for option 2 if you have to pick one. Pilates doesn't work for everyone. Fitness training really burns calories so that's definitely helpful.

If possible combine both, 3 nights a week will only help you achieve your goal faster. :)

you should definalty do the fitness training because you can focus on your probelm areas more and two is always better than one!

Definetely do the fitness training. I have done Pilates and it does kick your butt, but you need to combine it with some cardio training also. I have a Pilates video that is pretty good. You could do the fitness training and then do a pilates DVD (or any other kind of DVD) on the other days.
Good luck!!

Re: Wedding Preparations

I love pilates, but even so I think you should go with option #2. Pilates doesn't burn nearly as many calories and you'll see results faster with a trainer.

there's a woman called Bonnie Marano. she teaches at my gym (Equinox) and is awesome. But she also has a wedding exercise program called 'fit to be tied' FM me if you want more info.
