FH has a sister who is in desperate need of rehab, at the very least. She is truly a BAD person. She is a danger to herself and to others & I seriously wish she would just move to Alaska & get eaten by a polar bear.
WHY you ask? B/c my reception hall called me last night in a panic asking what was going on. I said “um, what do you mean?” Well. My FSIL called the caterer & said “Bride is too upset to call you and tell you herself but the wedding is OFF. You can cancel it.”
She also called the sold out hotel for my guests posing as me & said cancel all the rooms, the wedding is off. She called my bridal salon and did the same for my dress & my BM dresses. I have been on the phone all day calling every vendor to see who else she got to. My father called a friend who owns a club & we have now hired security for my wedding. So much for my classy Hamptons wedding. This crazy b!tch is ruining everything!!!
She is doing all this to get back at us. FH had her arrested last week. Long story. No one was seriously hurt by her actions but it was bad enough that the police filed seven charges against her. I hope she goes to jail. I really do. She belongs there.
She is seriously troubled. The whole family has cut her off and wants nothing to do with her & she is lashing out. How DARE she try to cancel my wedding!!!!

UPDATE 3 - she also called the bridal shop & tried to cancel all the dresses. She said she was me. Luckily, the owner knows my voice & called her out on it! I had given her a heads up...

yeah, isn't family GREAT! sigh.
That is so unfortunate.... but truthfully, while it's seldom discussed, many wedding have familial issues that reach the point of having security, or keeping the otherwise happy couple on edge throughout the day. it sux, but such is life....
is it legally possible to have a restraining order in place? She has obvious intentions for vengence, and then there will be legal action if she even comes NEAR you, or your wedding.

I'm sure you're taking care of this as you're talking to your vendors, but make sure to tell them that any changes that take place from now on will only be made by YOU...can you imagine if she got someone else to try to do this all over again? I'm just trying to help you get all your bases covered, this FSIL sounds like a nut case!! I hope you feel better!!!

Sorry that you have to go through this!! It's really a shame that people are so vindictive and have to attempt to ruin your day.....but Don't let them!!! Def. all all vendors and do the password thing....it will save you a lot of headaches
