FH and I are having an ongoing battle over our first dance ... The only song he came up with was 'I Swear', and I just can't do it - all I picture when I hear that song is Ryan Reynolds fat (from the movie 'Just Friends'. I will not be able to hold a straight face! Since I first heard the song 'All About Lovin' You', I've dreamed about this being my wedding song, years before FH came into the picture, but he refuses ... And neither of us are coming up with any other choices, lol ...
What song did you choose and how did you go about choosing it?

As of right now, this is our song too except Ronan Keating's version
LOVE this song. I'm arguing with my FH to keep it as an option but he thinks it sounds too country.. I think its absolutely beautiful!!

We're using You and Me by Dave Matthews Band. We've heard it live twice and the second time we tested it out and danced in the crowd at CitiField. Loved it. A little faster than a traditional first dance but we loved it.

LOVE this song, it was a contender, but one of my FH's friends wedding song. I also Alison Kraus.
We actually haven't sat down to listen together. So far I have a few, Rascal Flatt songs; Bless the Broken Road,I Melt, then there's Zak Brown Band's Whatever It Is. I also like Smile by Uncle Kracker, Keith Urban's Making Memories of Us.

I think the most important thing is that you two choose a song that is special for the BOTH of u, not just u and not just him.
I've always loved 'Can I have this kiss forever' by Enrique and Whtiney, but my fiance made a great point--I loved that song way before I knew him, so it's not like it pertains to him, or us, in any significant way.
The song we chose is absolutely 'ours' in every which way, and I think that ought to be the primary deciding factor in all this...
I'm sure you two will find one that is perfect

i wanted bless this broken road because it just fit I met him the night I was suppose to marry someone else and he pretty much gave up on meeting anyone worth while and was down on his luck to say the least. But I could not ask for more by ed mccain won out.

AWw-- Here, There, and Everywhere was my parents wedding song!
We haven't made a decision yet either-- but I think we will have us and the BP walk back up the aisle after the ceremony to '1 2 3 4' by the Plain White T's.
