wedding songs

Help!!
My fiance and I can't agree on choosing a wedding song!
We both think it should be meaningful to US, and we want something original, not Etta James or Shania Twain that is used all the time!
Any ideas!?!?

It should be meaningfull to you. Is there a song that you guys just like dancing to? FH and I use to just start dancing to music randomly, and Amazed was the song we did that most to. So we are probably going to do that. But, if you don't have a song and you like people like Frank Sanatra or something, I would look at some of his songs.

One of my friends just got married over the summer and their song was 'Your Song' by Elton John......I think its fabulous!

Good Luck!

this is hard! What sort of music do you like?

I went to a wedding recently, where they used Just The Way You Are by Billy Joel. I thought it was great! I also love the Elton John song mentioned above. We're using 'After All' by Peter Cetera and Cher.

How about 'love of a lifetime' by Firehouse - it's not a really new song, but it's really so nice & you don't hear it much anymore....or I like the song 'for you I will' by Monica or 'All my life' by KC & Jo-Jo...those are not exactly classics, but you hardly hear them played at weddings for first dances.

We went for sentimental. Both sets f my Fi's grandparents and his parents had 'It Had to Be You.' We thought it would be great to use it also -- and the words are very fitting for us.
