Wedding Tips or Words of Advice when you got engaged..........

from my aunt::

if you got it, flaunt it by all means

but if you squeezing pennies, nickels and dimes to have lobster when you can only afford chicken.. dont do it !!!!

if you can not justify spending your hard earnings on an area for the wedding, dont do it. I guess that's just the frugal side of me. But How much you spend on your wedding is not what's going to determine whether it will be memorable. don't believe in starting off your new life together in debt. Let's be real here, some people get divorced before they finish paying off their wedding.

i was told to share as little as possible when people ask about plans. WOW i wish i listened to that a little more! i thought it was weird advice. but now at the 2 month mark i realize those are golden words. offering info is like asking for their input and opinion. which sometimes su cks. hahahhah

OH MY GOODNESS... I REALLY REALLY WISH I COULD TURN BACK THE HAND OF TIME AND KEEP THINGS TO MYSELF... but now im doing that and it feellsss greatt..

i tell people this ALL THE TIME. Easily the most important thing i learned while planning.

very true! don't go crazy when you know you can't afford it. you don't wanna be broke and worry about how your going to pay it off.
it doesn't have to cost you a fortune, just make it you and it'll be special!

actually when we got engaged my nail polish was all chipped :(

when I got home to show my mom the ring it was omg gorgeous ring, here's $20 go get a manicure before you show anyone else.
