So my FH bday is on Monday and I already bought him some clothes but I also want to book a weekend getaway thats not 2 far for sometime in August, anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
If y'all like boats, there are some weekend cruises out of manhattan that sound like a good time,
Otherwise, I agree with CT, PA, or wine country in upstate NY.
It may also be possible to catch a train or drive to Niagra Falls for the weekend

We are going to Atlantic City tomorrow and Friday...I like to go there, you can walk on the boardwalk, and hang out on the beach. Or you can drive along the Jersey Shore..Wildwood is very nice

RI is nice too, but I'm an Atlantic City and Mystic girl. I like both places. I also like going to the Crossing Outlets in PA, but that might not be something your FH likes to do

Living in Connecticut I would say the only fun place to go is Mystic. It has the aquarium, day trip to block island, casinos, cute towns.

i agree with CT. teh arquarium is cute and you can do a penguin contact program and get to go into a room and touch the penguins! lol
also check out whats going on in bridgeport arena for the weekened you want to go!

do you guys like baseball? you can shoot over to baltimore, catch a game..go to the aquarium down at the marina...and if you like seafood there is a gazillion lobster houses

Strasburg, PA is a great weekend getaway (Amish Country). We've also done a B&B in CT and Mystic on the way back.

even a nice night in the city overlooking central park...the essex house on the upper east side is a beautiful place!! and there are so many great restuarants around there.

We're going to probably go to the Poconos for a weekend in August, they have a few couples resorts that seem alot of fun, Thank you all for your help!
