I'm starting again on Tues. I would have started today or tomorrow...but have dinner with my friends tomorrow...and knew I would screw it up and feel guilty
would it be cool if each day we post a journal on here? like a points log?

Re: weight watchers
I had my first weigh in today... It was really sad because I had not realized how much I gained. I am trying to stay positive though. I know I have 58 weeks till my wedding so I can make a big impact. FH and I went to the gym today for an hour. I was so proud of us. I have been making a weekly menu so that I know what I will be eating and when. I know it sounds rigid but I need this work. We are making double the dinners every other day so that we do not have to cook everyday. My problem is because I am very overweight I have a lot of points. It seems like I am eating all day long. Also I can eat like 3 serving sizes for dinner technically because of the amount of points I have. I feel like I am not learning the correct portion size. The momentum cookbook and the website has been very helpful for recipes. I also measured my body today so I will know if I lose an inches. I also went on the Wii Fit so that I could see the difference in the WW scale and the Wii scale.
Sorry this is so long... Good luck to everybody tomorrow...

I follow the old pts system. If I follow the new one I have way too many points. I am very overweight as well. I plan to go dress shopping end of FEB so I'd like to loose 10 lbs by then. My FH is so SKINNY it makes me sick. He's about 5'9 and weighs around 140 soaking wet. And eats nothing but wendy's pork rinds and beer. So I am starting WW back hard core tomorrow. I am not going to the meetings though cause I can't afford too....

Re: weight watchers
I do WW! I started last January and became a lifetime member in August. I still go for a monthly weigh in. I haven't been doing so well the past 2 weeks...but starting today I'm back on it hardcore!

Re: weight watchers
I am back on it. I have been off since Sept and gained 8 lbs back. Mostley during the holidays. I do Online only. I am the type of person that doesnt like going to meeting by myself and noone around me wants to do WW. I think a WW thread would be great. It will help us stay on track.

Re: weight watchers
i am not on it because it drives me bananas to count every little morsel of a point... it works for some but not me... i am just going to focus on eating healthier, stopping snacking. that has been my weak point and i've gained so much over the holidays that i need to get back on track! I am setting short term goals and tracking ,my progress ONLY through measurements (i hate the scale and i used to be obsessed with it at one point so i just put it away...) so i hope by valentine's day to see some progress.

Re: weight watchers
I'm back on track today. I've managed to lose weight every week since Oct 12th when I joined. Not easy, but I managed to do it for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
I really liked the advice my group leader gave us. She gave us a calendar the first week in November and said 'Circle the day you think you will be unable to stick to the program.' I think I had like 6, Thanksgiving, the office party, Christmas day and eve, New Year's, etc....
She said, that is 6 days out of 60. I'll give you those 6 to eat whatever you want, and you give me the rest.
It really worked, because I stayed on program all of those other days, knowing that when Christmas came I could just enjoy and not count. And I wound up losing (not much), but I still lost .6 lbs each week.
Today I am back to counting an journaling. I've lost 22 lbs so far. I'd like to lose another 20 by mid-April. And I would like to lose a total of 40 by the end of the year. Unfortunately, most BMI calculators would still consider me 'overweight' at those weights, but I know my body and I know that it will be a good weight for me.
I realize that by setting small, attainable goals for myself, and changing how I feel about food, I can lose this weight and keep it off forever.
The best part is, I've stopped craving the greasy and fatty foods. I felt so ill with indigestion and heartburn after Christmas, and my stomach was gurgling all Jan 1st because of the fried chicken I had on New Year's Eve. My body was angry at me for eating those foods, and I felt like crap.
Good luck to all you ladies. I never thought WW would work for me and I am so mad at myself that I didn't start sooner.

Re: weight watchers
Alrightt..so back to good old WW. I found out I gained like 3lbs over the vacation I can definatly feel it. My plan is to lose at least 2 of those this week.
Went to the gym today for a little over an hour. I wish I could get there longer but I'm a busy little bee.
How did everyone else's day go?

I started my day by getting on the scale and find out I have gained since this time last year 20 lbs. It's so depressing. I really can't believe I let myself go like this. I have been there before and lost it all on weight watchers so that is what I will have to do. I feel like my body can't even support is own weight...
