im back to doing points as of today, i think im gonna go back to a meeting next week cuz i wanna start kickboxing classes. i told people who im friends with at work that, and they were like 'yea sure, u wont be able to keep up with that!' why do people have to be so negative!?

some of my friend/coworker people are the exact same way...I think they are secretly jealous bc they know that they cant stick to it themselves, and they want to try to get you thinking negative like they do...
The one girl who i am close with is like this...She is getting married soon and is really upset about her weight, and when i say i am sticking to a low fat/low carb diet and starting to work out, she says i cant do it bc its too much pressure and stress trying to be thin and i should just learn to live with my body the way it is (all flabby and out of shape...)

Re: weight watchers

Remember not to eat the same things over and over again or your body will get used to them and you might hit a platu(sp?)

Make sure you also eat protein at 2 meals.

Just some tips I remembered from my meetings.

Re: weight watchers

Speaking of negative people...

What about the people that try to sabatoge your diet by force feeding you food? They wanna eat more so they try to get you to eat bad food so they feel better about themselves.

It's so frustrating!

I think you are missing the point of the thread if you are going to call the other people at Weight Watchers meetings 'buffalos' and 'cows'. At my meetings everyone has been extremely supportive, whether they are lifetime members at goal weight or very overweight people still trying to lose 100 lbs. I've gotten nothing but encouragement and positive comments from all the people at my meetings, and I'm offended that you would use such derogatory terms to refer to overweight women.

that is how barb talks...she calls us all cows, wh0res and gh-ey...and we love her to death for it.
There is no derogatory meaning behind what she said whatsoever, so take no offense, bc no one else here does...We know it isnt coming from an evil place...

Okay then. I don't want drama. I am very sensitive to those words and I didn't realize she always talks like that. Barb does seem like a really great person from her other posts and I guess this one just rubbed me the wrong way.

Colleen - you look fabulous and are an inspiration. How long did it take you to lose the weight? I've lost 22lbs in 12 weeks.

Pizza is confusing though...because if the slice is HUGE then its going to be more points. All resturants' pizza has different sizes.

Re: weight watchers

On a similar topic...going out to dinner...

If I calculate the points from the nutritional information on a restaurant's menu, is that info based on you cleaning your plate??

For example the 'Guiltless Chicken Sandwich' meal at Chilis is 10 points. Is that assuming I eat the whole sandwich, and all of the beans and veggies? Could it be more points if I don't eat all of the beans (assuming the points are based a lot on the fiber from the beans?)
