On a similar topic...going out to dinner...

If I calculate the points from the nutritional information on a restaurant's menu, is that info based on you cleaning your plate??

For example the 'Guiltless Chicken Sandwich' meal at Chilis is 10 points. Is that assuming I eat the whole sandwich, and all of the beans and veggies? Could it be more points if I don't eat all of the beans (assuming the points are based a lot on the fiber from the beans?)

Unfortunatly, no matter what, when you eat at a resturant, the points will never bee 100% accurate. On WW alot of people measure their food to get an accurate count. However, when you go to different Chili's, the portion sizes will be slightly off...as well as the amount of seasonings they put on it. While they will be similiar, I would think most won't be off by more than a few points. The best you can do when you go out to eat is estimate. If anything, its better to overestimate!

Re: weight watchers

Pizza from a pizzeria is 8 points for plain cheese. A slice from a dominoe's pie is 5 points.

From the book:

For a regular crust pizza, if you cut 12' pie into 8 pieces, each piece is 5 points. If you cut a 16' pie into 12 pieces, each is 5 points. So your standard 16' pie cut into 8 pieces means each pices is 8 points. Each meat topping is another 2-3 points per slice.

Oh my goodness, I turned the page and there are so many other options for pizza points...

Now I am confused as to how many points. I think I will keep scoring them as 9 points, but it looks to be anywhere from 6-9 based on the book. I can scan the page if you want....

Re: weight watchers

Curves bars are good. They are 100 calories and 5 grams of fiber - which makes them 1 point each.

BEWARE: only have 1, esp if you bloat from too much fiber. If you have 2 within an hour you'll feel like you are ready to pop.

Of all the granola bars out there, I really like the Curves ones. I just wish they were cheaper. But I eat 1/2 the amount so in the end I save $$$.

They are perfect for those late nights at the office, like I am doing now.

Re: weight watchers

Wow thanks...I didn't realize the curves bars were only 1 point. What flavors do they have?? I have to try them now!!

Re: weight watchers

I think they have 3, chocolate peanut butter (it's a little dry but much better for you than a reeses), Strawberries and cream (very tasty), and Apple Streudel (haven't seen it in stores).

They are a little dry compared to Special K bars, but they are EXTREMELY filling.
