Weight Watchers Anyone ?

I know we must have had a few threads on WW, but just wanted to see if anyone is trying it out for their 'new years resolution'...Ive never done it before, but its a sinch compared to the atkins diet!
Anyway I started yesterday, and so far so good..

Sure, im dying for something sweet and a nice cup of coffee, but im saving that for later !

Anyone wanna post about their experience or share some knowledge on quick-easy meals and snacks...

(I didnt join, i have the materials and Im doing it on my own)....

For those that are doing it, lets keep eachother motivated !

Re: Weight Watchers Anyone ?

I'm doing it anna. Today is my first day on it. So far, with lunch I have had seven points and don't really want to go past 20 today.... How are you doing on it? I wish you the best of luck and we can keep each other motivated!

Re: Weight Watchers Anyone ?

I am joining on Monday. I was in it last year and it worked and then I tried doing it on my own... It didn't work

I can still join this thread, right?

BTW - you said you are dying for something sweet. Italian ices are wonderful! Also they have low fat pudding, which is like 2 points each. Fudgesicals (sp?) are also low in points! And the smart ones have desserts! The points system is great! I have to force myself to stick to it!

Re: Weight Watchers Anyone ?

Don't forget you have to eat all your points. It is best to stay somewhere in the middle of your range. Try to keep lowfat snacks on hand.

Re: Weight Watchers Anyone ?

I had 6 points for breakfast and 6 for lunch...
I had 22 points total yesterday.. Im trying to stick to 22.

There are great recipes on weightwatchers.com.
I just have to memorize foods and their points and i'll be ok...Im setting small goals for myself..
I was over my 'ideal' weight when i got prego. and now i have 'baby weight' (my excuse )...so i'd like to lose ten pounds at a time...
if i lose 30 i'll be a happy camper !

Re: Weight Watchers Anyone ?

and here's another thing to keep us motivated..
I hear it being said all the time...

'We' treat our cars like gold (well not me, LOL)
some people ONLY put Premium gas in their cars..
we clean our homes, get nice furniture, we take get manicures and pedicures (the list goes on)...
So why dont we make all this effort to take care of our bodies ? Why do we get lazy when taking care of the most important thing to us ??
Think of your body as it deserving all the best and only the best. You will not fill it will junk and make yourself feel like 'blah'.....
ALL THE BEST for our bodies !!

Re: Weight Watchers Anyone ?

I agree with OctBride03 - Definitely log your points - Use the journal.
I have been on WW for about 6 weeks (lost just over 10lbs so far!) and I notice that I always lose more when I use the journal and log all my food.
I would definitely get their cookbook - It has some great ideas for meals. As for cravings for sweet stuff - Tootsie pops are only 1pt. - That usually works for me
Good luck!

Re: Weight Watchers Anyone ?

Me and My DH have been on it since last Feb... I have lost 37lbs abd Hubby had lost almost 50. My advice to you is Journal EVERYTHING... and make sure you eat you min points each day....
I also make dinner everynight and we use weight in night dinner as the meal we eat what we are craving....
Give into your cravings... it is a ' Lifestyle chnage' a diet is Temporary and this is changing your eating habits....If you want FM your email address... I love having people to chat about this not on a public board....

edited to say: I have a ton of recipes and two cookbooks...so i hve tons of easy meals!!

Re: Weight Watchers Anyone ?

Anna

I have done it in the apst and WW really works. Whatever you eat - write it down. If you have to get a notebook to keep it all together.

I need the meetings, and don't do well online on alone

Re: Weight Watchers Anyone ?

I joined WW last year with no success, but nonetheless I came away with a yummy 2 point snack - Fat free cool whip sandwiched between 2 graham cracker halves and put in the freezer. Yum! The new WW magazine has a million recipes this month. I took along when I went shopping this afternoon.
