Weight Watchers...again

Original post by Thrilled

Just ignore if you don't want to read this...
I have tried and failed WW now 6 times. I checked my bank balance yesterday and saw that WW had put through the online service (which I had approved and asked them for etc) and I took it as a sign to go ahead and give it one last go. ON top of that Fergie was on Larry King Live last night and she looks friggin fabulous...another sign.

So I need lots of support!!! Let's hang in there together. I'm getting married 9-6-03, so the way I figure it, I have about 34 weeks or so to lose 25-40 lbs, which can be done! HELP ME GIRLS!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

today was actually the first day i feel hungry. i had 2 waffles, a pear, 2 clementines for breakfast which was 5 points. then i had a lean cuisine for lunch for another 5 points and i felt very hungry. i didnt like the lean cuisine too much so i barely ate it. i had 15 small pretzels for 2 points so my day so far is 12 points. brian is cooking dinner and its 12 points for dinner so my total today will be 24 points. i am allowed between 20 - 25 points.

all week i have been fine, but today i just feel so hungry. i weigh in on saturday. i am looking forward to it. i hope i lost something. i know it will be slow losing the weight and some weeks i may have only lost an ounce or so, but the fact that i am losing is what is keeping me going

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Ok, here goes....I tried, but ran into some issues at lunch.
We went to the restaurant in The Men's Store at Bergdorf's and there wasn't too much that was healthy on the menu. I picked whipped tuna sandwich on pumpernickel bread which turned out to be 10 POINTS!!!!
then I had a piece of raisin bread (that they bring to the table first) 1 pt.
1/2 of coleslaw (I don't think I ate that much, but better to over count than undercount!)

So i had a 15 pt. lunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I only 4.5 pts. left for dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jodi those are my two FAVORITE Smart Ones! Those chocolate muffins are awesome and Santa Fe Style Rice and Beans is amy all time fave. I normally dont like frozen dinners, but sometimes....they're just really convenient!

I love the muffins, but they are so hard to find! I am starting to really like the lasanga with meat sauce.

Sage, how does a chicken ceaser salad sound for dinner? Or a turkey sandwich? or a veggie burger on a pita with some salsa and an orange? You may need to invest in low fat/low point bread, which might help you when adding the sandwich meats.

You could also do fruit and veggie combo, or one cup of pasta with baked tomatoes instead of sauce?

Re: Weight Watchers...again

I know this sounds drab, but b/c of a lack of groceries I think I am going to eat an apple and a bowl of oatmeal for dinner.....

I Feel Guilty

THanks for the suggestions....I do need to get some of that low fat bread - how does it taste?

Re: Weight Watchers...again

reverse breakfast and dinner.... have an egg white omelette with cheese for dinner, or some fat free hot dogs- it will be one point each, or sashimi-- if you are a sushi fan... what about a ww dinner? about 5-6 points each...

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Sage, don't appologize for lack of groceries, until I moved in with my FH, I swear my fridge was empty except for non perishables. I would stop at the little corner delis and buy whatever fruit/yogurt I wanted for dinner and that's it. Now, we're stuck doing weekly shoppings, b/c I can't keep up with FH, he eats all the fruit and veggies, that part is already gone, and I have to buy more today.

I didn't try the lo-cal bread. I am trying to lose weight with somewhat normal foods that I can buy every day, and lo-cal bread won't work... Its too 'unusual' but may work for the point saving strategy. I personally think that oatmeal and apple together sound awesome... And I think maple syrup is also 0 points.

Cheer up, Sage and remember its only a day! Probably you won't even be that hungry after such filling lunch!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

i am a huge breakfast fan. I could eat breakfast as meals all day. Thats not a bad idea to do a reverse breakfast dinner thing. And its low points too.

FI is making meat and potato's and picking up some salad stuff for me. aww....i love having him on WW as well.

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Thanks girls!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are the best!!!!!
You just made me feel so much better....That is a great idea about the egg whites, I just bought eggs last night!!!

And you know what the worst part is??? I DO live with FH and we still don't have ANYTHING in the apartment....we both hate shopping!!!!!!!! haha

So either egg whites, or the oatmeal/apple combo....and I can still be in my points!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Ok, I have a great idea (I think it's great anyway) to motivate myself.
I have decided to make a 'Pounds Jar' and for every pound I lose, I will put 5$ in the jar and then when I reach my goal weight I can take the money and buy myself something to reward myself!!!!!

Whadda ya think?

Re: Weight Watchers...again

The pounds jar is a great idea.

When I was on WW I ate the pepperidge farm lite bread. It is 1 pt for 3 slices. Also- fat free hotdogs are 1 point and I think veggie burgers are 2 points...

Re: Weight Watchers...again

mmmm....I even like veggie burgers....
What do fat free hot-dogs taste like?

5 pts. in all....

I hope today is a good day!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Went to get weighed in yesterday. As I have posted, I was feeling unsure about the program b.c I was having a hard time staying withing points, and did not think I lost anything (was actually afraid I gained, from all the snacks I never ate before). Well...I lost 2 pounds!!!

I decided to really give the program a try, went last night and bought lean cuisine dinners (had one last night, it was good for 5 points), low fat string cheese, smartones flying saucers and carrots for snacks. I am PSYCHED- I am only trying to lose about 20 lbs, and have been stuck at the same weight forever. Two pounds is a huge victory for me, had to share!!!

I haqve now made it through 2 full days on points. I am so freakin proud of myself I could cry - this is a chick with 0 willpower.

So far today:
The egg white omelet again with feta cheese, wheat toast and Diet Coke....

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Sage,

I love your idea about the jar. I think I am going to start that myself. I really need to be motivated especially since I am a BM in a wedding in Feb and I picked up my dress last night and it is tight! HELP!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Thrilled,

The egg white omlette sounds really good, I think I will have to try it over the weekend. Unfortunately during the week, I have no time in the morning, I just pop a lean pocket breaksfast into the microwave for 1 minute and there is my 3 point breakfast.

Re: Weight Watchers...again

OOOOOOOOh What a great idea!!! I should do that!! I think I am! I would love a new pair of jeans in my skinny size! haha!

I went two points over yesterday, but saved 2 points from Tuesday, so I think I'm alright! WHEW!

Jodi are those Lean Pockets good? Sounds like it's a good quick idea!
