Just ignore if you don't want to read this... I have tried and failed WW now 6 times. I checked my bank balance yesterday and saw that WW had put through the online service (which I had approved and asked them for etc) and I took it as a sign to go ahead and give it one last go. ON top of that Fergie was on Larry King Live last night and she looks friggin fabulous...another sign.
So I need lots of support!!! Let's hang in there together. I'm getting married 9-6-03, so the way I figure it, I have about 34 weeks or so to lose 25-40 lbs, which can be done! HELP ME GIRLS!

Thrilled - glad you are feeling better. Trying to be good today but for some reason I am hungry and it's a long time to lunch. Have to go in search of something low in points. Had 5 this morning for breakfast.

Re: Weight Watchers...again
Struggling today - hungry and stuff. I've only got 10.5 left for the day after a very unsatisfying salad for lunch. I went and bought some pretzels out of the vending machine and they are 3 pts!!!!!!!!! So if I eat them I will be left with only 6.5 for the day! GRRRRRRRRR. Tomorrow is weigh-in so I don't want to keep it light and under pts today.
I already ate my zero point stuff i had on hand - carrots and grape tomatoes. I can't eat these pretzels!

HMI - that turkey is 1 pt for 2 ozs. How thick were the slices?

Re: Weight Watchers...again
They were thin slices. So I guess the turkey was 2 pts? I wonder if I am overcounting everything I eat

Re: Weight Watchers...again
UGH!!!!!!!!!! I am having such a hard time this week sticking to my points and it's only Tuesday...I think the fact that I gained 2 oz. at my weigh in depressed me so I had gave up a little bit. I NEED TO GET BACK ON TRACK...
Besides....I was PMS'ing last week and that could have accounted for the gain....Right Girls? Can I use that as my excuse???

Re: Weight Watchers...again
I reposted the post from my journal
Ok, I have been ignoring my journal lately, it all started with a dim-sum on saturday
I am afraid to count my saturday points - cereal, dim-sum and then bass in some kind of oily sauce!!!
Sunday was better, cereal, smoked salmon sandwich (12 pts) and salad with salmon (6pts). I had a coffee on each of those days too.
Monday was ok, muffin and coffee (7pts), then pizza with sausage and shrimp, but small slice (counting it as 8pts) with root beer (3pts)... Then, one point ice cream from machine, and a cup or two of cereal and some gultless chips at night... I think i went over by a few points there.
Today, so far, eggs (5pts), fruit(1pt), coffee(1pt) and some home fries (probably 3 points based on the guide, and about 2 table spoon serving that i had) = 10 pts total.
Then subway roast beef (5pts), and chips (3pts)...
Now up to 18, and hopefully won't exceed it by too much in the evening.
I have to go to the gym today, I haven't been there since thursday!!!

Re: Weight Watchers...again
Sage, my plan is to keep stuffing my face with veggies but at some point you can get tired of it. I need to go grocery shopping tonight.
I also want to buy the low pt. icecream, b/c I have been craving it and don't want to eat the one we have at the machines at work...
I don't think I'll ever be able to eat less than 20 pts, most of the days I am at the higher end of my limit, which $ucks, especially since I am trying to lose a little bit of the jiggly stuff!!!

Re: Weight Watchers...again
Me too Alina and to be honest, I don't love veggies all that much!!!! I try, but I just don't..... and when I do eat them, I like them smothered in butter
Seems like you and I have the same goals!!!
Lets try to get each other in shape.....I have to go grocery shopping too.....I need to get some Smart Ones meals to eat for dinner so I don't cheat!

Re: Weight Watchers...again
Sage, what if you put some olive paste on the veggies or salt? Still icky?
I am finding it hard to stay away from carbs!!!
On my list is broccoli, celery, tons of carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers (can't buy them bulk b/c they go bad quickly), tomatoes, and may be red/yellow peppers if they're decently priced.
Fruitwise, its clementines, apples, a mango, may be grapes, and perhaps some pears. And I would like to buy some dried apricots for sweet snack, I can't eat more than a few at a time.
I also need lunchmeat and olives, for making salads. I may take a look at the freezer section, but not sure I'll like the frozen stuff, we'll see.

Re: Weight Watchers...again
Sage, for dinner tonight, how about keeping it only to one slice of pizza, and a diet coke? according to the ww book, it can be as low as 5 pts or as high as 10 pts... stay away from the deep dish, that's where the points are at.
cucumbers and kirbies (pickle kind of cucumbers) go bad fast, within about 3-4 days, vs. all other veggies on that list being able to survive for at least a week or more. Olive paste is simply crushed olives, either black or green, its similar to mustard in that its not too fatty, but tasty in a salty way... You can put it on crackers/sandwiches.

Re: Weight Watchers...again
mmmmmm......I love Olives and I never knew about Olive Paste! I think I need to get some!!!! Thanks for the tip. I think that might get me to be able to eat more veggies....Can I get it at any grocery store?
As for the pizza, I am going to be good - I will eat only 1 piece...and it's all thin crust pizza, so I should be ok....
Wish me luck!
