Weight Watchers...again

Original post by Thrilled

Just ignore if you don't want to read this...
I have tried and failed WW now 6 times. I checked my bank balance yesterday and saw that WW had put through the online service (which I had approved and asked them for etc) and I took it as a sign to go ahead and give it one last go. ON top of that Fergie was on Larry King Live last night and she looks friggin fabulous...another sign.

So I need lots of support!!! Let's hang in there together. I'm getting married 9-6-03, so the way I figure it, I have about 34 weeks or so to lose 25-40 lbs, which can be done! HELP ME GIRLS!

There is a supermarket on 56th and 6th, but there may be one closer to you as well.

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Just had an orange for snack! 1 pt! I had a seriously big b'fast - 10 pts!!!! Won't do that again. Last night Fergie said that Krispy Kremes were 5 pts each...not bad!

Yes, I made sure I looked up the points for Krispy Kremes! Sometimes they are brought in on Fridays, so I needed to make sure! Hmmmmm... an orange... I should go get myself one for later!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

5 points really isn't bad a Krispy Creme. The only thing that is annoying is that is far from filling. I can eat like 4 of them at once and thats like my point intake for the day. Ahhhhhhhhhhh

I can't eat more than one crispy kreme, they're too sweet and my teeth hurt after more than one!!!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Last time I had a Krispy Kreme (I don't eat donuts often) I felt like I had been poisoned...I felt all toxic and shaky. I'm guessing my body doesn't want me to eat them anymore. LIke I said before, I can sit and stare at a donut all day...a pile of cheese fries is another story...SCARF!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Yeah I can't do cheese fries either! I'll end up starving until Monday!

It was nice to think of them though! I will be going for Subway again, Veggie Delight, only 4-5 points! I find it hard to believe, but that's what it says on the WW website! And it's YUMMY!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Lauren, with no oil or cheese on the Veggie Delite, I can believe that. The wheat roll is probably 4-5 and then the veggies are free......my problem is I like it with CHEESE!

Does anyone know how many points a bag of lite microwave popcorn is? I know the 94% fat free is 2 points for the whole bag. Thanks

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Just noticed this thread too...count me in!

I lost about 9 lbs on WW last fall but put most of it back on over the holidays. So I started again on Monday. We have a WW group at work but I'm not sure I can join due to scheduling conflicts. However, I've got all the tools from last go 'round, (I've got this cool journaling application for my palm pilot that also has a points database), so I am going to try to do it on my own. I am so glad there is a support group here!

Last time I did WW, I used their online message boards...particularly the one set up just for Brides...but I haven't gone back on in at least a few months. I was wondering if any of you were also members of that board? I know there was one...blushingbride, I believe...but I am so out of the loop now.

Meanwhile, here is a cute poem one of my coworkers emailed me. Enjoy.

Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste
At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
And the way I'd never said, 'No thank you, please.'
As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt---
I said to myself, as I only can 'You can't spend a winter
disguised as a man!' So--away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
'Till all the additional ounces have vanished.
I won't have a cookie--not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore---
But isn't that what January is for? Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

I just had a 12 point lunch - yippee, I am happy for keeping under my usual 15:
miso smeared salmon - 7pts, I think
a litte of mashed potato - 4 pts
tomatoes and cucumbers = my own mini salad
two little breadsticks - 1pt.

The best part of it is that I am full, even taking into acct my smaller breakfast = 4pts.

Lets see if i can make it today without going over.
