Weird Note on a Reply Card

I received a reply card back from my cousin. I sent the invite to: Jane Smith & Guest.

She returned the card and wrote the following:
On the M_________ line she wrote 'Jane Smith and obviously no guest'
Underneith where it said Accepts/Regrets, she crossed off Regrets and wrote 'I don't want to be there'

Now keep in mind she is 37 years old and not a teenager, we haven't spoken since my grandmothers funeral 1 1/2 years ago, and before that it was along time. I have not idea why she is so nasty.

People are crazy she is out of control. It is a good thing they are not coming!

Thank you all for the good laughs (Jen- I think I will mail her the bo-k afterwards!).

Is it really selfish that it makes me feel good to wish she knew we were all laughing at her behavior. Oh, hell, I don't really care if it is or not.

For those of you that have already sent out your Invites, don't the really warm notes that people send back just make your day. What is everyone going to do with their RSVP cards after????

I always hear - keep the rsvp card, put their address on the back and then list the gift they gav eyou and keep it in an index box - Makes a sinch to send out thank you notes!

Ok..here's a really funny thing you can do to get back at her. Send the card BACK to her..and do this:

On the M_________ line write: Damn right no guest, no class either.

Where it said Accepts/Regrets, write:

Accepts the fact that you are an *******
and
Regrets ever sending this to you

That should do it. WHAT A MORON!!

What is wrong with people I'm sorry to hear that you went thru this!

There was a thread a while ago on the wedding channel of horrible things people responded on their response card.

One couple I think said that they got a response from someone that said something to the strange effect of 'we have a 20 year tradition of only leaving our summer home for the death of a parental member and we do not plan on changing that tradition now.'

Send her the throwaway bo-k w/this note 'Was gonna toss it but I think you're gonna need all the help you can get!!!!'

what the heck??? people amaze me everyday! you don't want to come, politely decline - no need to bring family issues into it! thank god they're not coming - who needs the aggravation!!!

Unbelievable. I can't believe someone would write a comment like that. No class...

I commend you for taking 'the high road' and inviting these people to your wedding in the first place. At least you know that you did your part to bring peace to the family.

I wouldn't give her comments another thought; I wouldn't even respond to them. You have so many other good things to think about, why waste the energy on her??

Still trying to figure out what to do with my response cards...
