It is sometimes necessary to flush BEFORE and AFTER!

I live in an apartment so I flush all the time because we don't pay extra for water. If you don't, we get a ring around the toilet bowl and that annoys the heck out of me ![]()
If Dh just went (#1) and I have to go then he'll leave it but if it's more than a 5 minutes span I'll tell him to flush![]()

the only time we don't flush is if someone pees during the night. The flush is loud and we don't want to wake each other up
we flush it all down after the morning pee

Yeah, I've only donr that in college when the building had plumbing problems.
Sometimes I even flush twice.
Weird side note, in my old apt, the toilet flushed it self sometimes.

I think it's totally gross not to flush. It skeeves me out to go into the bathroom and see someone's #1 or anything else in there. DH cleans the cat's litter box every day and if she poops and it's small he dumps it in the toilet but doesn't flush right away. So i'll go in to use the bathroom and I see it and I get grossed out.
