Went Dress shopping today(with pics!)...neeeeed advice

Ok Girlies...I went to paradise bridal today, on a whim- a designer sent a sample there for me to try on that i had been unable to find so I felt obligated go- even tho i told myself id hold off on shopping for a few more months
I ended up not loving the dress but finding one that i absolutely loved!!!
Here are my dilemnas!! #1. I feel like my wedding is too far away and Im afraid of committing so soon-(FH & I are thinking april/may of next year, going to book next week)
#2. The whole time Ive been shopping, all I looked at were mermaid, trumpet style dresses and this one is totalllly opposite, but it's beautiful and I love it! So I'm worried since it's totally opposite- but maybe thats why i never found 'THE ONE' i dunno
#3 my family is so difficult and they just didn't give me that warm feeling when i showed them pics- mom included- i took my aunt with me and she loved it in the store

haha im obsessed with wedding gowns and look online all day long to find what I like, and I love Justin Alexander dresses!

i am going to sit on it for a month or 2...try on a few more dresses and if i still have my heart set on this one...then i'll know its the one!
p.s. thx for finding the dress for me- his site does it no justice, the dresss is much more stunning in person

You look great in ALL of them! Definitely go with your gut on this one, if you love the ballgown then get it. You definitely don't want to regret it later

I just went shopping for the first time and purchased my gown on Saturday. I was doing the exact same thing as you. Every gown I was trying on was fitted/mermaidish. The gown I ended up buying was a modified A-line. I wasn't looking for it, my grandma picked it out and I tried it on on a whim.
When I put on the dress I had chills and tears in my eyes. It was the ONE. You know it. I didn't want to take it off either. Sometimes it's the things that you aren't looking for that are the best. You know?
I love love love the ball gown on you. I think it looks so elegant and different. Bring your mom into the store, the dresses never look the same in the pics. Go with your gut, it will never steer you wrong.

they don't want you knowing who makes the dress, then you can easily go and find the dress at another store...if you dont know who makes it, you are FORCED to go back there...
unless youre lucky enough to have fabulous LIW girls hunt it down for you!
