How did you find out about this? Maybe I should inquire~!
I called WM to find out what time to put on my invites and my BM told me that there is a wedding before mine so I should put the actual time.

Quick question. . . has anyone had any experience with the Glen Cove Mansion in terms of using them as a hotel? It looks absolutely beautiful. . .but I've never heard of it before . . . of course I live on LI so I've never had an occasion to actually stay in a hotel here. . .

Is 9 years old too old for a ring bearer?

Hey ladies, we went to do out menu last night and it went really well. A lot easier than I expected actually. Wow, its getting close! They were getting ready for a wedding while we were there, and everything looked beautiful.

Hi Westbury Manor ladies... FH and I went to see the place last night and we completely fell in love with it!! We spoke to one of the BM and was quoted $120/pp for the regular menu (with no upgrades at all) for June 2007 Saturday wedding wedding. To us it seemed a little bit high. We still want to try to have our reception at WM but that means 1) we need to compromise our guest list to stay within our budget or 2) have it in a off-peak month. We are leaning toward choice 2. Did you girls talk the price down with WM?? Is it doable? If it is, how did you do it? We are thinking about having it in March or April. Does anyone know if the price drops dramatically? SOrry for so many questions....I just can't get over how nice the place is!!!
Thanks so much in advance for all your help!!

Hello Ladies
I have a question regarding the linens - for those of you that got married ther or have already settled this part - are there different options for the linens as far as color choices go? I'm doing a chocolate brown and Ivory theme and I was thinking about incorporating into the linens - maybe chocolate brown sash on the chair covers...just wondering if anyone knew the answer...
Thanks ladies

I believe the choices are ivory, gold, burgandy. I don't think chocolate brown was an option, but honestly...I don't remember. We used ivory with burgandy sashes. It looked GORGEOUS!

oooh that sounds so pretty...I wanted to avoid having everything all ivory - because I think I may change my flowers to all ivory and whites...hmmphhh back to the drawing board...no wonder my FH says I'm so indecisive...I change my mind 100x's before I decide on something...lol

Yeah, I was going to say that- if you have it during the day, you don't have to compromise on the month. Its all about what is more important to you.

Hmmm. I don't have it in front of me, but let me see if I can remember:
For CH: wok station hibachi station carving table -pork something with eggplant oh man I can't remember the rest, I will post it later.
We also got the combination salad/app but I don't remember which one- I'll post it later.
we added on the vienesse trays for dessert along with the 'heart of sorrento' and the cake. For the cake, we got yellow cake with whipped cream and chocolate mousse filling. If has the columns, which I don't particularly like, but FH really did, so we compromised - he let me get the filling I wanted.
For the linens, we got all ivory, and also the chair covers with the ivory sash. Our flowers are going to be mostly pink, so they thought it would look the best!
I'll post all the stuff I forgot when I get home!

we are geting married on a Friday in April and it's less than that. We also negotiated on the price. I think they went down about $10/person. We just kept asking them if they could do any better and they went down

Go talk to a BM again - bring a list of possible dates and see how much the price changes for you. June is peak wedding season, so March/April would be cheaper. Good luck!
