Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I just stopped by WM today to do a walk through of a party set up- everyone was VERY nice and they even insisted that we get a drink- they ordered white chocolate martinis for my bm and I, it was really nice!

I even was able to see the chair covers and they are beautiful!! They have this nice, classy pattern on them! The only choices they have for the sash is burgundy and ivory- we picked the ivory!

Very excited about our wedding there!!!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Question for brides who are having an outdoor ceremony and have contracted musicians to perform during the ceremony:

My string trio contact told me that since it's an outdoor wedding ceremony, they would need to be 'protected' from wind, rain, and sun. Have you girls thought about this? If so, what are your solutions? Did you rent a tent or canopy? Where? Does Westbury Manor already have a designated area for performers that is sheltered against the nature? I can't remember... thank you.

The address on the invite to the showcase shows:
1100 Jericho Turnpike
Westbury, NY 11590

On our invite we just had Westbury Manor, Westbury, New York.

The directional card will give exact info.

Hey girls-

I just met with Kelly today with our finals- it went very quick! We picked out everything and were on our way! Our wedding is in three months from today!!! Very excited!!!!

(we only met with her so early because we live in FL and this was the only time before the wedding we would be in town) :)

thats great! Which room are you in? What color linens did you go with?

funny- someone else mentioned that they were being charged $2 per table for wine and you were getting the wine for free, but they wanted to charge you $6 for a $4 fountain....we just found your 'free' $2...LOL at least you didn't pay for the fountain! It's still a business- they have to make it back any way they can!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

The bad thing about well on my directional cards on the back they are advertising the fox hollow inn and that is not where I am having my after party or guest staying so I had to X out the back with a pencil so that my guest did not get confused as to where to stay- to me I didnt appreciate that.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

We are having guests stay at the Wingate and also didn't want them getting confused with Foxhollow, so I rolled up 2 small pieces of tape and taped the Wingate directions on the back of the Westbury manor directions.

If they want, they can still take it off if they choose to stay at foxhollow, but it looked good.
