Did they have it there tonight??? I am so angry!!! Which cakes were good then?? The only reason I was going to the tasting at Ergas was to try the red velvet!! UGH!!

I was so pissed i didn't even taste the cakes - i heard they were all gross and the only decent one was the chocolate

I was totally disappointed with the cake. They were horrible. they were dry and tasteless. I also wanted to upgrade to the red velvet but i dont think its worth the upgrade.

I am going to purchase my own red velvet sheet cake and have them slice that up in the kitchen and serve that to my guest. It will be cheaper than paying for the upgrade. your guests dont know what cake they are getting once your wedding cake gets taken into the kitchen anyway.

The ladies I met last night, it was a pleasure. What happened to everyone??????

FH and I didn't think the cake was too bad. We had the chocolate and put the white chocolate mousse filling on it and we enjoyed it. I honestly don't think many people eat the cake anyway. It's the end of the night, people want to get their last dances in and we get that extra desert as well. We also added on the candy buffet last night (which they give you printed bags for the guests to take the candy home) so I'm not worried.

Hi all! It was so nice to meet you ladies and see some old faces. I spoke to Lorena from WM and asked her point blank about the Red Velvet cake. She said that Egra Bakery does not do real red velvet cake. They use vanilla sponge cake and dye it red, because of this an upgrade to 'red velvet' is actually free.

I have to agree that the cakes were very dry. But, I like the idea of getting a sheet cake to slice up instead. Might be the way to go.
