What are you and FH using for first dance song?

I'm sure this ones been done before but we are stuck on this one. We want to pick something that has significant meaning to us and is sentimental, but I mean, we've been together 5 years! theres a million songs like that!! we also dont want to risk using something cheesy and overused...
so I was just curious what everyone else has in mind...

We are using 'to make you feel me love' from Garth Brooks. It is a great song. We knew from the moment we heard that song a year and half ago that was our song.

We're thinking that we'll do 2 songs--our first will be a slow one with just us ('I Could Not Ask for More' by Edwin McCain) and then we'll start the 2nd one ('The Best is Yet to Come' by Frank Sinatra) alone so we can show off our fancy dance moves and after a minute have the DJ invite everyone onto the floor. We also think it'd be easier to get people to dance to a faster song.

my sis used 'I could not ask for anything more' as that played i realized that is the best song, so true of that day. i cant use it but anyone that is thinking of it...go for it

Not to hijack the thread...but Jonsgirl, I was looking at your avatar and remain amazed that those pics were from your friend...if you had not told me I would swaer they were professional -- they look as good as lots of the prof pics on here!

We still are torn between 2 songs he likes 'Forever Mines'by the O Jays and 'I like Love of My Life' by Brien McKnight.

Most likely it will be the Brien McKnight Song Love of my Life I always get my way.

wow thanks so much Deb! I could not believe my eyes when I saw them. We were just giving it a shot and when we got them back they totally exceeded our expectations. She was so great, but really with a little artistic eye and some black and white film, anyone can give it a try! saved us some $$$ too, so why not!!
