I personally do not care for Palin at all, I just feel she is not ready and is full of alot of half truths. and personally she did not seem to smart in her interview with katie. these are just my thoughts right now. I am still undecided.

Did anyone continue to watch at the end how the families interacted? I always find that very interesting and even though you cant hear what they are saying, I like seeing their expressions and reactions.
EEk..I got nervous when Palin handed the baby to her seven year old who proceeded to walk down stairs holding him.
Me too!!! I was cringing!

She is underqualified and he is a liar - period.
I HATE the fact that he makes it seem as though his wife and daughter were killed by a drunk driver when in fact the trucker that killed them was not drunk!!!
Terrible - his adult daughter is still trying to clear his name from Biden's lies
She is annoying and underqualified, but i do think she did MUCH better than in the Katie interview - without a doubt!

Re: what are your opinions on the debate?
and if you really think of ANY VP recently - what have they done? did they need any knowledge of foreign policy LOL
anyway, mccain's mother is 92 and healthy as a horse - he isnt going anywhere soon so i wouldnt worry that she'd have to take over
If I vote for anyone, its going to be someone that spent 5 years as a POW and served his country

Re: what are your opinions on the debate?
I've never heard him Biden say the truck driver was drunk. In fact, I've never heard him say that there was another vehicle involved, only that there was a car accident.
Whether or not Cheney, Gore, or any other past VP's have used their foreign policy experience is a red herring. They would have been called upon to use their foreign policy skills if the situation arose and they were the right person. We have no idea how involved in foreign policy any VP's were behind the scenes. Currently, Biden is the better choice from a foreign policy advice standpoint. Russian horizons notwithstanding.
Vietnamese prison camp =/= John F. Kennedy School of Government. While I believe McCain acquitted himself admirably, there is nothing inherent to being a POW that prepares you for the Presidency. In fact, I'm sure it erodes some of the advantages he may have inherited from his mother's good genes.
Further, I think it's fair to say that all of the candidates have served their country - McCain simply had the family name to keep him from getting tossed out of the academy before his career even began. There was really nowhere for him to go but up.
I'm not checking this thread anymore, since I'm sure it will be bumped off the page by the time I come back.

Re: what are your opinions on the debate?
the thing about the drunk driver has been all over the news since his adult daughter is fighting the slander of her father's name
Not to mention Biden plagarizing not only in college, but while giving a speech to congress , took pieces of JFK's speeches and incorporated them into his own WITHOUT QUOTING
LOL Did he think politicians wouldnt notice they were the words of JFK and not his own???

im crashing (Sorry!!) but its about time someone used the word...Biden flat out LIED more times than i can count. and im not even talking about the accident at all. fact checkers found AT LEAST 14 lies he told during the debate.
besides that, i love how before he was brought in as obamas running mate, he disagreed with obama on many counts and its just so gross to me to watch him totally back step and talk up obama like that never happened. i know its politics usual but that kind of stuff just grosses me out.
i thought palin totally held her own and she's a breath of fresh air IMO.
