What did you desperately want as a kid but your parents never got it for you?

I SOOOO wanted one of those miniature Pac Man arcade games. I also wanted Atari.

I wanted the Snoopy snow cone machine.

And a puppy (but now I have one so neener neener mom and dad! )

The Barbie Dream House....LOVED IT....and could never get it because it cost like $100.
However my mom did get me the Barbie spa that you could push a button and they would make bubbles in the water and my Uncle brought me the Barbie Corvette...however i had no house to drive the car to so i would have to go to my friends down the block.

Does anyone remember the elevator in teh house that was operated on a string....

I think i got everything else.

OMG -- yes! That was one of my favorites! I was about as tall as the house when I got it.

My heartbreak was when I had to get rid of the Barbie town house (w/elevator) in order to keep my new Barbie mobile home.

The only thing I can remeber desperately wanting and didn't get was a Sweet 16 party. Perhaps if I'd had one, I wouldn't have had such a big wedding!

An E-Z Bake Oven. I'm still scarred! I was told I didn't need to bake with a lightbulb!

And a pool-- I was told we had a perfectly good public one right down the road (We lived in a Levitt house so we used the Levittown pools)

A kitchen set.. but we lived in an apartment and had no room for one

and one of those mini cars for little kids that you can sit in and actually drive!! I wanted that SOOOO bad!

Me too! My mom was older when she had me, and couldn't have anymore kids. She also has diabetes, so that complicted things. I always wanted a sibling.

I DID!!! It was brown right and it had a kitchen and bath and the top was open so you could play with the Barbies!!

I also had the travel agency, the Barbie Horse, the rock studio (for Barbie and the Rockers), office for secretary Barbie.....just not the Dream House
