What did you think of Bush's speech?

I totally don't agree with him on a lot of issues and I think he spouted a lot of what in my eyes is BS, but I think he gave a really compelling speech and I think he won over a lot of swing voters. He seemed very decisive. When he said 'you know where I stand' that was such a powerful statement. It was the kind of speech I wish John Kerry would finally stand up and give. If he doens't, he's losing a lot of undecided voters to Bush.

True. But then he shouldn't make statments like NY is better because We can do more then you can. HE'S NEVER EVEN BEEN THERE.

I actually lived in Manhattan for a year back in the mid 90s. I was born/raised and spent most of my time in Woodside/Sunnyside area of Queens which is right outside Manhattan (bout 5 min). I moved out to Bayside/Oakland Gardens 3yrs ago when I bought my co-ops.

I do work in Manhattan though... been working there for almost 10 years now.

I am sure Maine is a beautiful state... but I work in Technology and its not practical for me.

I don't know why I am up either.

But Manhattan is not the end of the earth from Queens. I used to go out in Manhattan all the time and still do frequently. There is a certain energy I get in Manhattan that I don't feel in Queens, Long Island or any place else I have been.
