What do you expect at a Black Tie/Black Tie Optional Wedding?
now im starting to think here-
i mean, if at a black tie you 'expect' a band- then what else is expected? high centerpieces? sorbets? surf and turf?

That's an interesting question. As I said in the other post, I would expect a band. I would expect a nice, full cocktail hour and top shelf liquor at the bar. I wouldn't expect 'handouts', like leis, sunglasses, glow necklaces, etc...I don't really have many other expectations off the top of my head, but I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

The only thing I would expect is for men to be wearing black ties. Other than that, having a good time celebrating a couple's new life together is all I expect.
