What do you girls think of this whole airline thing??
i think its absurd!!!!! Dear American Airlines! What do you expect me to fly with OUT luggage???? AA this is a Crock what is your problem as if you dont make enough $$ as it is now you have to charge me to bring my stuff!!!!! ok i can understand charging for the 2nd bag cuz well lets face it i over pack but for my FIRST BAG ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!?!??! news flash your going to loose business!!

I know! Its so ridiculous! The prices of tickets are going up anyway because of fuel costs. this is there way of being greedy and doubling their costs. I am so glad I booked Continental to go to Vegas and our HM!

im sure it will i dont know many details of when its starting but as far as i understand its $15.00 for your 1st bag then $25.00 for a second!!

I had a choice between AA or Jetblue when booking our honeymoon and I just knew I should go for Jetblue - glad I made one right decision throughout this process, lol. They are going to lose so many customers. Airline tickets are not cheap as it is!!

I agree but unfortunately once one airline does something, they all do it. I heard on the news that United is next in line so I guess we'll all just have to pack fewer pairs of shoes I know they always takes up at least one of my bags!

It doesn't affect international flights, domestic only. The other major carriers will be following suit so while temporarily American will lost cusotmers they will go back.
Yes I think it is absurb but it is a sign of the times and the truth is people won't stop flying. Just like they won't stop driving because of the price of gas.
Oh and girls who already booked your flights are good. Its takes affect on tickets booked June 1.
(My company has an inhouse travel agency that is where I got all of my information).

Jet Blue said they were going to charge for the second bag only not the first....so that's better. And Southwest said they don't have any plans on following (they might in the future) but not know.
Thankfully I booked the vegas trip on southwest and the honeymoon flights are mexico airline or something haha

I heard baout this and I think it's horrible! I think travel in general will decrease with AA setting the precedent of charging for bag, increased fuel cost and a weakened dollar.
It really does s*ck!
